Omega General Help / Heat Sensor

Thought i had a faulty Thermostat turned out to be a faulty heat sensor. I have a bit of an oil leak which is getting very hot when idlling causing the heat sensor to shut down. How much should it cost to fix and is it easy and could i do it myself.

A big thank you for every bodies help with my car i love it and don't want it poorly.

 :)

Ye the temp is around 95-97ish when crusing but as soon as stopped in traffic goes to RED then starts vapour up side of bonnet driver side. All levels of fluids are correct.
