I have some good plans and the very last thing I wanna do is loose interest in her.

Thanks symes, I have the cam keys but no crane.
I'm going with this engine for now, going to button it up and when I can afford to change the engine for a fresher one, I will.... Get the BBQ going too! :y

vibration can loosen the nuts-well that's what I reckon anyway- pig of a job to do manifolds while in car however not impossible-problem is coolant pipe/heat shield removal-after that-easy :y However left side is total pig of a job TBH- :y
TOTAL PIG!!! Lol...

I just did my off side and it was a pig of a job, on and off I probably took about 6 or 7 hours to do it (trying to dodge life and the weather) and I've still not finished or even started the near side...
Mine was blowing because it didn't have a gasket and half the studs were loose...
As for the advantages, the 3.2's are supposed to be freer flowing and they don't use the SAI so mine's fitted to the bin....

Looks great, be better with black wheels imo :y
Lol, I do have plans for the wheels but not black!
If I do ever get round to painting her, the wheels will be does at the same time....

I have had Omegas with different sets of alloys, split rims staggered fitments, and had alloys worth 3 times what the car is You name it I have done it  :D

And my own opinion is nothing can beat the early FL MV6 alloys, they suit the lines of the car perfectly IMHO  :y
I'm not changing the wheels, just "changing" them! If you get me??? ;-)

Yes, I do wanna keep it but I think the plan will be to either pull this engine and rebuild or, get another, lower milage engine and go to work on that one...
I understand.
I do think I'm better off if I do it with a newer unit...
Dave, I dont think you need to rebuild it.. it may only need headgaskets changing in the near future (unless you measured low compression values or other big problems before).. for that reason I said doing them together will take less time and work in total.. :-\

I just did my HB cable and found the mount very soft!
It was actually ruses to the cable and had to peal them open a little and close them back up.
Time will tell if they start to give.....

For a modest fee I might be persuaded to refurbish door cards to order...
I have a moto that I live by...
Why pay someone if I can do it myself....
Although, this has proved costly in the past!

I have done q few engine builds and conversions on other cars but this thing has more parts on it than anything! Very complicated engine!!!
I don't have a crane but there is one at work I might be able to use???

Thanks buddy, I am thinking about it but it's not a simple engine... Plus I don't have a garage so I will stubble a little for space....

still reckon easier to remove head mate-easier to rectify faults on bench than under bonnet IMHO  :y
I hear ya! Now!!! :-)
At the rate this is going, I am thinking of taking the entire engine out....
