Silly money.
But look at the Lotus Carlton market. Few years years ago there were 2 cars that stood out in the market. 1 was a garage owner that had his in a car showroom from day 1 and just for show , when he put it up for sale it was slow to move as people wouldnt pay the money & the other was a 20K miles car. The later was for sale for ages for £20,000.
Now if you want a Lotus Carlton a scabby abused one starts at £80K
Plus when I looke on Autotrader last night I see all the Omega were twice the price they would have been a few years ago., saying that there were 3 low mielage cars shame they were basic models.
The Worlds going mad.
Not quite mad enough yet. I thought I'd test the water and rang a well known online classic car auction site. They weren't interested in my immaculate MV6
but at least it means I get to keep it for a bit longer
When I got it out of storage the other day for its MOT the owner of the barn (which is full of classic exotics) said it was his favourite and he leaves it near the door, because he knows that it will always start and just sits there purring away while he has to push the other cars in and out. Needless to say it sailed through the MOT without a single advisory
And the air con still works!
