TC is always enabled UNLESS the light is ON on the dash.

The TC light on the dash is to warn you that TC is disabled (or that you're overcooking it if its flashing ;D)

Thanks I think I have it straight now  :y

General Car Chat / Question about Omega TC
« on: 09 March 2011, 18:43:11 »
Just a quick question, as I drove slowly into tescos car park today and turned on a damp piece of tarmac the engine tone changed and the TC light flashed briefly, I think I may have given it slightly to much gas for a fraction of a second, I didnt have the TC switched on but is this how it works ? does it kick in automatically if needed and if it does why have a button to turn it on and off.

General Car Chat / Re: plan to remove rust volume II

Any chance you could do a how to guide with some pics, I have a small rusty bit on one wheel arch and a small bit on the bottom corner of both front doors, I am not sure of the best way to tackle it so some sort of guide would be great.

Newer cars are measured on emissions rather than engine size. :y

Thanks, any Idea how much it would cost me if my car was registered in April 01 instead of Jan 01, just that I had an old Mondeo for years and didnt really take any notice if it didnt affect me.

My Omega was registered in Jan 2001 does that mean for six months I will pay £ 112.75 ?

Yes before 1st march 2001.

Thanks, I was getting a bit worried for a moment it was going to cost a fortune, why are cars cheaper to tax if they were registered before March 01 ?

I have only had my Omega a couple of weeks, they are a little on the juicy side aren't they  :) I Took my daughter to Reading Uni yesterday from Hastings, stuck 60 quids worth in and came back with a quarter of a tank left which I thought was pretty good, first time I've been on a bit of a run with it as well, certainly a nice car on long journeys.

I have been using Chrome for about 2 weeks now and I really like it and have had zero problems, I like how easy it is to find and add extensions such as adblock and translator, as opposed to hunting the net for 3rd party addons for IE, big thumbs up for Chrome from me  :y

I'm spitting his blood already & my first thought on hearing this was he should've been shot on site, no messing how rather dare he burn a poppy & chant death to british soldiers through the silence. Without doubt his behaviour was outrageous & unforgivable but then i had a rare moment of reason. What would happen to us if we were to do the same in his country? Prolonged torture followed by death? Whilst i wish this on him we cannot be seen to lower ourselves to the primative level of him & his countrymen. He & his cronies should've been water cannoned, arrested, banged up & given a good kicking like you got in the 70's & 80's if you mis behaved....yes it used to go on, i got a couple (deserved) & saw/heard a few more, nothing wrong with it then shot right back from whence he came, no if's or but's.

Not saying we should stone him???? but our country neds to grow a pair & stop being a pussy! ;D

The trouble is mate this is his country, but I tell you what I would do, I would make the Falkland Islands a muslim British state, I would bung the current inhabitants of the Falklands a Million quid each and relocate them to Britain and then ship out blokes like the poppy burner and his mates and let them get on with it, give them some farming tools and a few sheep and let them look after themselves, they can have sharia law if they want but they do it there not here.

£50 fine no doubt to be paid back at 50p a week from their benefits, I'm staggered, my old man fought in WWII, this country was meant to be a land fit for heroes afterwards, now it is the enemy withins paradise.
