Technics coil overs on eBay are the best value for money, they seem to be reasonable at around the £300 mark and having known them to be fitted not bad quality either

You will get about a 60mm drop from these, alternatively 30-35mm on a decent set of springs  :)

Should be good value for money

Just don't compare it to an air impact wrench as most garage ones are kicking out a minimum of 1500 lb -ft +

Well that's 30 minutes of my life I won't get back, ever ::)

Poor depot management at one UK mail depot, a couple of lazy TNT posties and some pretty second rate 'interviews'. I can't believe for a minute that a Post Office union member found someone elses post in a bin... Emmerdale is better written than that  ;D

The most informative part of that whole program was the adverts ::)

Wouldn't be the first time  ;)

This topic brings me back to my first ever question on Omegas 2 odd years ago  ;D

I think it was along of the lines of help my car is overheating its running at 90-95 then the fans kick in, I was kindly informed this was normal running temps for the V6 don't panic it's not going to blow up

I went outside and reeled the hose in on standby  ;D
That's a relief  ;D , As i've barely ever heard my 2.2 fan come on maybe last time was last summer after a 100 mile drive.. And doesn't the Aircon when cold is selected make it work much harder as well I believe ..

I am not sure I never noticed it tbh given it lived on the main fan, the 2 other fans in the aircon rads kick in at a certain temp to assist with engine cooling. Must be really hot though as I never noticed it  :y

The way I see it is this;

I'd rather spend £500-£1000 on a car which needs general maintenance and tidying up then spend a few hundred on making it the car it should be.

I'm quite sure though, that some people (quite rightly) would rather spend a lot more money on the initial purchase saving them the time and effort getting it to A1 condition.

I guess not everyone enjoys maintenance, has the ability to do it, or quite frankly can't be arsed.

As has been said on here a million times.... "A car is worth what a person is willing to pay for it".  And who can argue with that?

That's about it, I paid 2.5k for a 2001 MV6 manual in 2011 I knew a lot of people would think I was mad but I wanted needed it on my drive  :)

I sold my last one July last year and regretted it ever since  :'(

Since selling it I had

vectra 2.2 Sri
Seat Ibiza Cupra running 280 bhp
VW golf 1.8 20 V turbo running 220 bhp
And a Peugeot partner, for some cheap motoring

The V6 bug and rwd bit me hard and none of the above were a spec on the Omega for power or comfort, and I don't think anything gets near it on value for money hence I am looking for number 4 :y

I have a Zafira as the daily drive and family car but the only thing you look forward whilst driving that is getting out the other end  ;)

What are those Chrysler 300's like:-\

Pimpmobiles? ;D

You can get a hemi version, I think it's a 5.7 V8 which you can pick up for under 10k now

Someone near me has one in white on 22" rims with a Bentley grille not my cup of tea but does sound the business :)

I know someone who had one and he got huge mileage out of it , something like 200,000 ... not the best looking bikes but probably comfy  :-\

Couriers love these bikes with the electric screens,

I know a few years back 1 courier had 230 something K on 1 before he retired it  :)

Looking at his feedback he could be a dealer ill await his number and have a chat with him

100% a dealer, the majority of feedback is for cars as a seller  :)

Omega General Help / Re: Erm, bit worried...exhaust smoke!
« on: 27 April 2013, 20:29:43 »
Driving along yesterday, got caught in traffic, stopped the car and I saw smoke coming from the exhaust. Surely this isn't normal. Ambient temperature outside was 16degrees so it cant be the usual smoke/steam you see on cold days. Also I couldn't tell if it was blue smoke either. Gave it some revs, and some more revs and now seems to be fine, although I could smell an eggy smell in the car at the time of it smoking. Is there such thing as a cat building up gasses and then releasing them occasionally?

To point out, its just had an oil and filter change, plus breather clean, approx 300 miles ago.

I just hope to god its not anything to do with the piston rings (oil seal) or whatever it is.

Any ideas? Z22XE auto.

I would say cats, it may clear itself

I won't be overlay concerned about it, my V6 used to make a real smell after driving it ambitiously then it would clear itself  :y

All overnight/next day services are based on the fundamentals that

If the shipment is of a business critical nature, and there is any detriment to the end user in the event the shipment is not delivered please utilise alternate services

The service is always sold on the basis cost is the primary factor, not service

For 6 quid say, your shipment goes on a hub and spoke network from you to the processing depot, processing depot to the hub, hub to the receiving/depot then either on to the van for delivery or from the delivery depot to a stand alone hub then to the delivery driver if a remote area

Having been a GM for a provider in the past and now a manager for the largest courier provider in the UK, believe me I have seen it all, most now run at a 99% success rate. When I started out 12 years ago when I left school the best at the time APC was 96.5% it always improving  ;)
