Eeyup! Still stuck in Mallorca, BUT things are changing here more than the mainland and certainly more than the UK. I went to a bar on the first day of opening this morning on the seafront in Porto Pollenca on a glorious day. Lots of policia locale walking around checking and also guardia civil in cars. It was wonderful to socialize abeit social distancing. We of an older generation have to adhere to the hours specified. Err.... we were 15mins over our allotted time! Everybody was observing the 2 metre rule. As you can see from my profile I have had worse! We will get through this but common sense rules in my opinion.

How is it for you Varche?

Err! I wonder how the old bus is, parked up in the steam railway car park in Aviemore?  :y !Under security!

Yea Rods, read all about it on Pprune. :'(  I used to see them many years ago around the Cairngorms. There still is some very interesting aircraft flying around there. Of course it is a low flying area.

If you don't have to go back to Scotland, this seems the sensible plan to be honest.  :y

I shall take on board your learned advice sir!  :y :y

Drewomega, hope you are managing. Could be worse places to be stuck. Are they British Embassy  recovery flights home? Hope you get sorted . I read somewhere that Mallorca wasn't thinking of reopening until 2021.

Yes Varche! there was a BER flight a week or so ago and they were charging £1600 :o to EDIN. I have another 200 miles to go after that! Suffice to say I did not take their offer.
I have lots to do on place in Scotland ie. painting, oiling decking etc. Nothing to do here as I have painted all the walls and ceilings again!!  8)
I think I will just stay here and see what happens!!

Hiya all! Still stuck in Mallorca! This is my 29th day of total lockdown. No going for walks unless you have a dog and only one person allowed. No bike rides either. Only one person allowed in a car unless you are working. I have been stopped twice on two occasions going to the supermarket. Nightmare!  :(  Have been trying to get back to Scotland since I have been here. Two flights cancelled already. I guess Varche is in the same situation!  :(

Hiya!

I found a spray tin of clear acrylic in my store. I cleaned the crud and loose lacqer off the bonnet and roof and I just lightly sprayed all the offending bits with the acrylic. Worked a treat. Can hardly see where I sprayed. Its not perfect but it will do!

Thanks for all your inputs.  :y :y :y :y

Hi guys!

Thanks everybody for their inputs. :y
Don't know if I can stand listening to bongo bongo radio 1 so I will just use my watch.
Maybe it will sort itself out in time. Not that important!!

Cheers. :y :y :y :y

Hiya! as posted on GH I have been over there for a while. My time and date does not update and shows 31-12-1999 and shows wrong time. I have adjusted it on settings and the auto update is clicked but reverts back to the same time when I restart. Any idea guys? TIA

Hiya! After being over there for a while, I found my bonnet looking like this! The car was parked in a car park while I was away.

« on: 16 April 2019, 09:34:55 »
Just as a foot note! I see from the receipt that they charged me €207 for the kit (no brake drums either) and as Varche said I did not pay the 21% iva as I know them at the garage! :o  Cheers  :y
