Omega General Help / Re: boot lid spoilers

If its a second hand one, the best thing is to use sikaflex and bond it on, using tar remover you can remove any excess with ease.

no need to drill any holes as the spoilers are lightweight.  :)

well its supposed to be, but the last 2 keys i got done look like they were used with a tapered drill bit, not altogether sure it was the correct machine for the job, but they work none the less.

I usppose if you got a good template made from a working key you could use a dremel to cut your own.

it will be the shoehorn type you need, they fit both the 3 button fob and the 2 button fob, the older fobs were seperate from the key body.

so you will be safe enough.

they are available on ebay, make sure you get the ones with the chips if you want them programmed (tech 2 session to do this) however getting the keys laser cut is proving to be a bit of a hassle, as less and less places do them now.

timpsons or a good locksmiths may offer the service tho, but they dont really like copying used keys.

all in all still works out cheaper than getting vaux dealer to get you keys.

Next to my gear lever theres a button with a picture of a snowflake on it, whats this for please?

Im guessing you pressed it on thursday night, and thats why the whole country is covered in snow, so for obama's sake switch it off!!

that way the rest of us "normal" people can get on with our lives.

Don't think the horsebox does any miles per gallon but then, like the car, the horsebox is imaginary.

Must ask, have you ever read Alan Sugars autobiography? I believe there would be a copy in your local library.

must correct you there, a car does exist, albeit not the described one  ;D

Omega General Help / Re: Bearing whine.

My Omega has developed a whine when started from cold since the cold weather began. It only happens when the temperature is well below freezing.
Once warm it is silent  again, it appears to be coming from the front of the engine, I think offside.
Any ideas what might need attention ?

So does mine mate, but Ive recently found out that if I leave the wife at home I dont hear it...  ;D ;D ;D

someone with some serious usefull info will be along shortly
