Omega General Help / Re: pulling to the left
« on: 07 June 2009, 21:55:08 »
Lower wishbone bushes and possibly idler arm. You will need to get these done at least the lower arms and the anti roll bar drop links. Once you have this done then get the car geomtry aligned. Just getting the tracking done will not be enough the car needs to be reset to the manufactures set up.

Sorry to all the others members on here for shouting but I beleive this is the only way that Wayne will take note of what we all are saying.

Ther will be a plate on the side of the gearbox stating which box type you have fitted. Ar35 etc. Is yours a Facelift or prefacelift?

Can't get the old cable out as its trapped by the dis pack area so will need to pull the top end off to get to it to sort out.

Thanks Jamie I thought it was. The unfortunate thing is I got one of the garages to have a look for me as I couldnt move it and he ahs found out that the cable is traped near the dis pack somewhere so that has now been aborted until I can strip the top half down to see whats happened.

Omega General Help / Crankshaft sensor
« on: 29 May 2009, 14:12:22 »
Just a quick question but is the crankshaft sensor on the V6 3.0ltr, just by the oil filter? If so whoever replaced it last time decided to thread it throught the two pipes, which I think are the oil cooler pipes, and can't get it out. Plus cant even see where the cable goes either. >:(

I have got the same problem, Just checked and my fault code is 19 which I beleive is the crank sensor starting to break down.

Paul :y
Is that an easy change, expensive? :)

Its an easy fix but fiddley more than anything. On trade club its about £39 + vat. I have a post up as well so just waiting for the replies.

I have just done the paperclip test and the code that has come up is code 19. I take it this is pointing to the crank sensor?

I have cleaned the iacv, all breather pipes are clear, black eco box is clear, everything has been cleaned. The only other thing I can do is do another paperclip test and go from there.
