Wow! Anyone know what main items are / are not available for discount with this card? I'm thinking of signing up today! I would make the £20 back after the first service!

Is it really possible to just sign up to one of those websites, and get a trade card as simple as that?

The bugger removed it from eBay and sold it early Martin, to someone else, before I could get up to see it on the Friday :( :( :(

I don't know if it's me, or the time of year or what, but I can't find the project car I want.

I'm after a Vauxhall Omega (obviously) 3 litre Elite with leather interior, and a poorly engine for me to strip the top end off and rebuild.

There used to be millions of these on ebay going for a couple of hundred quid, but now I just can't find one!!

There is 1 Elite with suspected Head Gasket Failure, 200k miles and no MOT, and I don't fancy that one for over £250.

If anyone knows where I could get what I'm looking for, let me know !!

I do my own brake fluid changes, and i do a complete system flush, bleed it though the nipple on the calliper until the reservoir is low, top it up and drain it right down as far as a dare.

Always know then you got fresh stuff in their, done wonders for my system  :y

Its only coz of the mention of nipple that you get excited Tunnie and have a go yourself  ;D ;D

Its the only nipples i get to fiddle with at the moment!  :(

Tunnie, I offered to swap you your Elite for my girlfriend, I can't help if you didn't accept............  :D

2.5 more refined than a 3.0? How so mate?

I think manual vs. Auto makes more difference.  The best of both worlds seems to be a 2.5 with 3.0 cams and maybe a chip.

OR - a 3.0 with 2.5 skimmed heads and 3.0 inlet cams ;D

So you are saying that there is 10mpg difference between the 2? Surely not...

I'm looking out for a new Omega soon, unfortunately I just missed one on eBay,

As per title, I'm looking for thoughts on the differences between 2.5 and 3.0's. Eg fuel consumption, accelleration, top end speed, reliability differences, so on....

Gwilym -

New set of spark plugs and full clean out of the breather system and throttle body + ICV.

Cost you about £15, and a very worthwhile bit of maintenance with probably a hugely noticable improvement!

:D

Bad luck indeed

Just goes to show though, how much distance you really do need to stop

Not suggesting you were tailgaiting, but when this happens it DOES bring home how dangerous tailgaiting can be and what the consequences are...
