I love rural France and one day I'll live there but also loved Gozo as well and could be going back soon :)

Arriving on Thursday is an 02 2.2 DTi Elite saloon in star silver with black leather and I'm breaking it for spares. All parts are available and I'll start stripping on as soon as it arrives. Collection is possible from my lock up just off the A55 in Chester and I can post as well, prices do not include postage ;)
Complete doors less door cards £15 each
Self dimming mirror £10
Manual gearbox £50

More prices to follow when condition has been checked

Mk1 MX5 1.8 is a brilliant sports car, get one that has had a turbo or supercharger fitted and you'll have a cheap to buy, fast, reliable, well handling sports car :y

I've seen a dual mass flywheel take out a starter motor but there would have been weeks of warning noises. There's loads of things it could be, snapped camshaft, timing chains the list is endless :'(

Omega General Help / Re: Front & rear disc and pad replacement
« on: 21 June 2014, 20:19:00 »
Any reason why I shouldn't use Brembo or Mintex discs + pads on the front and rear?
VX for fronts Andy, whatever on the rears

Any particular reason Rob?

Experience really Andy, there have been most makes tried over the years the forum has been running and as Rob says, genuine front discs and pads for the front and whatever for the rear. The Omega is a big heavy car and the genuine fronts last longer and cope better :y

Think that was a shackleton, or a even Lincoln(even rarer) :)

There's a Lincoln at RAF Cosford but that's not air worthy :y
