Thanks for comments, I get the car home on Saturday.

Earths, bulbs etc. simple things (I am just a simple man) I can check. If it is Body Control Module that is something new for me.
If it is that is it expensive part?
Do it have to be programmed by GM dealer or is it just plug and play.
Even if I have left hand drive is the control module in right side of the central console in floor level? All figures welcome.
I report back on Saturday.

Omega General Help / Re: Disconnecting Seat Belt Tighteners
« on: 18 November 2021, 11:02:17 »
More electricity means what I heard from the seller: The driver's seat is moving with motors front and back+some other movements perhaps Backrest etc. electrically, do not know. Have to visit him and check. Whatever it is they are leather and in good condition. If swapping from FL to FL is ok then all ok.

General Car Chat / Astra J Indicator Fuse(s)
« on: 18 November 2021, 10:57:35 »
Hello

Some problems with daughter's Astra J 2010, petrol 1.6.

Right rear indicator does not work, also tail light does not work in right side. New bulb did not help, perhaps earth problem or somethin more serious?? In right side front, both indicators are blinking (quickly) - located in wing and below bumper.

Left side rear ok, blinking quickly. In front both does not work. Heard (only heard) that new bulbs did not help.

Car is 150 km from me so have to take a look when I get it home. Just would like to know whether something typical for Astra to check.
Below is a fuse map from Astra Pages. Cannot find any fuse for indicators. Please help.

Omega General Help / Re: Disconnecting Seat Belt Tighteners
« on: 17 November 2021, 16:42:59 »
Thanks DG

Present seats in front have both electrical height control while other movements etc. are manual. New seats have more electricity. That is all I know. Just to confirm the tightener question. I am talking about the item you fasten the seat belt into. It is a safety thing like airbag. Did you mean that, too? If I disconnect tightener from its pug and connect it back later do I need Tech2 or anything else to get the car to accept it. Can I use the tighteners coming with new seats and connect them without the need to use any code reader instruments.

Omega General Help / Disconnecting Seat Belt Tighteners

I am going to change my worn textile seats to pretty good leather ones. Face Lift 2001 Saloon both. Saw in this

that tighteners are mounted to the seats. Do I have to pay attention to something when disconnecting them. Do I have to use my original tighteners or does the car recognize the new ones?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Guide of Relays

Remember somewhere here we had a map that which relay is which but cannot findit now... where it is?

Thank Andy H, have to check. After removing rear wheel I can lift the control arm by putting jack under the lower shock flange to get the shaft to normal position and check. Is it a wearing part? I mean can it be worn after 300 000 km.

What is donut here?

204
So, step by step, slowly moving project. New rear discs (not GM) installed, still vibrating, rims, tires ok. Gear box mount not yet checked. What I know and have told earlier is that when I drive a road which is in bad condition (uneven) & full of "holes" the auto box selector is moving much front and back like the rear mount were broken. Have to find a place where I can go down there safely.

You could make one from some threaded rod and a couple of ball joints as used in model aircraft linkages. But that's only a saving if you already have the parts; if you have to buy them then you might as well just buy the correct part.

I don't see a picture on that link, so you might want the actuating arm for the sensor. That's a simple chunk of metal with a couple of holes. If you have a 3D printer that would be another good way of making one

Sure, Thanks, I try to find those ball joints, fig enclosed.

Looking for this rod, is it available somewhere else..., seems expensive. My present one is almost repairable.

Understood, step by step. Report then.

209
Ok, thanks Nick W, I change it, you skipped my torque converter theory?

Gearbox mount is "loose", box tail moves up and down when I pull or push it and gear selector moves front and back when I drive in road having flatness problems. How tight this mount should be?
