General Car Chat / Help Needed
« on: 21 July 2020, 10:38:44 »
Is there anyone within a 50 mile radius of me willing to help me do a brake bleed and an anti-freeze change on Mrs AA's Astra?

I'm getting too old to crawl underneath :'(

Will travel.

I'll smash the Merc's window, that'll get you running out...

Wouldn't need to, you'd be on video :y
I'd be the one in the striped pyjamas, and a bag with SWAG on it.

Not a pretty sight :o

Of the things I know about that they've reviewed the review reads like they learnt everything they needed to know for the review from wikipedia the evening before. I would imagine it's much the same for the things I don't know about, so I'm out. Use your common sense and you'll probably do just as well and be £9.75 better off. :y
I think its unfair to single out just Which? for that (and I know you weren't), as all "professional" reviewers are every bit as bone idle as journalists.

But who can we trust now?  Most of the on-site reviews on virtually all sites are geared towards corruption/bribery.  Same goes for most youtube reviews.

And, no, I don't have a Which? subscription. Nor would I.

Go on, you know you want one.

We all do daft things at times, but no more so than that Jaime lad, although he's getting old now ::)

I would have pretended to be out :P
I have just sprayed tea through my nose ;D :y

Obviously I would have phoned from the end of your road, just to see you scramble into the car to ensure you was out.

I've got caller display, wouldn't have answered the phone :D
I'll buy a new phone.  Worth it just for that :P

Don't answer 'Unknown Numbers', so that won't work :P

Does sound rather like a scam...

£120 a year for things you can get on the tinterweb for free :-\

My thoughts entirely, I wonder how it's still going at that price.

Today, I ventured to Dave the Builder territory in the big black Pussy. He kindly gave me some parts for the Battlebus, many, many thanks DtB :y

Drove back via Auto Addict country, and thought about dropping in, before remembering that I don't like him anyway :P.

Being in the Jaaaggg, the Sat Nag sent me past the factory where it was made.

Got home and spent the afternoon fitting bits to the battlebus.

Now laying in a hot bath, I suspect my back will make me pay for the abuse its had in the last week :(

I would have pretended to be out :P

Is it worth the £9.75 per month?

Cant remember the last time I turned up to an Omega meet in an Omega ;D. Probably one of the Oxford meets from years ago.  Even in the early days of OOF, I was often captured on camera turning up to OOF meets in a Rover ;D

You forgot to mention TOWING A CARAVAN :D
Wastnt my car. I suppose I should have checked before I set off that nothing was attached....

I've still got the photos ::)

Why use a VPN?

Trying it out for use on Public Networks.
What does a VPN give you (aside from a load of headaches, and even more security concerns)?

Such as?
