Omega General Help / Re: LED Bulbs

I usually get a couple of years out of a bulb, generally most problems I've had have been bad coonections, poor earths etc.

Great, thanks for that [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
I'll just get the stuff I need for the cam covers then :)

I'm near Blackpool, don't think there is anybody else close to me on the forum yet.

I was wondering if there was a gasket between the the throttle chamber and plenum and if this needed replacing?

A quick question, what gaskets and seals are required when cleaning the breather system?
I will be doing the cam cover gaskets at the same time, I want to make sure I've got all the bits I need before I start (The Vx dealer is about an hour round trip). I will be ordering them so I can collect them on the way home from work (that's a while away yet!)

When I was looking for mine I checked the consumption figures, there didn't seem to be a vast difference between any of the various models. I was looking specifically at autos though.
I would think that the consumption would be similar or just slightly worse than 2.0 manual.

Then again it depends how you drive them as well.

Someone with a problem like this eventually found a problem with the fuel supply - either fuel pump relay, fuse or fuel pump itself.

Had that problem with SWMBO cavalier a few years ago, got the multi meter on the power lead connections to the fuel pump, no volts found that the relay was duff.

I had a similar problem with mine, when setting off or acelerating the engine seemed to stutter/misfire. I was also suspicious of the leads and the dis pack, I changed the plugs first though as this was the cheapest option and all seems ok now. Having said all that I am still a bit wary as wether I may have something just starting to break down and the new plugs are masking that for the moment.

Would it make enough difference in consumption to be worth the cost and effort?

The trade club ID for mig is "Mig Performance Vauxhall"
I think that sounds reasonably impressive.

Right guys, I'm really desperate!! (I know I posted this elsewhere, but I haven't fixed the problem yet.)

Anyway, after replacing the brakes, the pedal was spongy. It would go so far down then sink another inch or so. My friendly local grease monkey tells me that they're not good enough for MOT.

The brakes on my senny used to do exactly this, it had the larger rotors on it, but it  always sailed through its MOT. I thought there was a problem but obviously not according to my local testing station.

Noticed the last time in the motor shop they now do an oil for older higher mileage cars, I don't know what the difference is though?

That's one thing I've noticed, my does warm up quickly and retains heat in the engine bay exceptionally well. Although the good weather may have some bearing on this?
