So looking at it there’s a test thing in the fuse box. I try grounding the pins that it tells you to and the fans will perform different speeds?

Ok I’ll have a look at the tests. Is there a thermoswitch for slow and full?

thanks Dave. Is the issue not the fans being told to turn on or I’d overheat every time?

Can’t see it being the stat. It’s exhibiting same symptoms as before stat change. And I also boiled it in the kettle before I fitted it and it opened no problem.

Air con doesn’t work. Something for the future. So I have it on eco. Next step testing fans? Is it any other setup than Ecu sends power to fans at given temp from temp sensor?

Afternoon guys

So car overheating issue was solved, i thought, by stat replacement.

Drove somewhere yesterday and temp kept creeping up. Temp only started coming down at just before the red zone. Driving was just town speeds.

Having owned my omega for years I know fan has always kicked in at about 95 on the gauge. So why is it now going near the red before cooling down?

Whatever happened to the concept of hydrogen-run cars? Surely we are many moons away from being able to have electric cars for everyone.

Hydrogen (from what I’ve read) is renewable with the only thing being emitted being water.

As said only what I’ve read but at face value looks the most promising.

I ditched the lift bracket lol just transfer pipe and dipstick 👍
That significantly alters the position of the transfer pipe...

If you insist on leaving it out, then you should at least try and space it correctly  ;)

Well it’s been like that for 6 years with no leaks. And no leaks following the stat change so I’m not worried. Though take ur point 👍

With upper rad hose and pas pipes in situ I imagine the B bolt would be a pain. I removed pas pipe and upper rad hose entirely. B bolt gave me no issues.

Re the Dremell, I actually bought mine a few weeks back. What a piece of kit. And the extension is genius in my opinion.
