Found an oil leak form somewhere.  Sigh.  The Ranger can't get here quick enough....
I reckon it will be from the engine. HTH.  :)

Kitty needs a litter tray.  :)

I'll install one underneath after I remove it from STEMO's bonce.

 ;D ;D ;D

I'll look out for some yobbish driving in a Ranger near me soon.  :D

Thinking of upgrading the horn for one of those that sound like a train horn :D

General Discussion Area / Re: Nationalism good or bad?
« on: 12 November 2018, 11:42:17 »
I personally feel that the current wave of Nationalism is coming out of actual or perceived discrimination against a body or identity.  This in turn rallies normally apathetic people to the cause which makes people consider taking a side in a debate and the whole thing steam-rolls from there.  This is good for parties as it generates membership income from those people who normally don't get involved and just go with the status quo.  Trump's base is a pretty good example.  They are relatively affuent but percieve that their future is being threatened by social assistance to those less well off.  The ethos is then such that if you agree with this policy then as a member of team X you should also agree with these otherwise you are not a true member fo the team.  The idea that you can agree with policies from multiple teams seems lost at the moment.  What make sme laugh is that despite being anti Govt poverty assistance and against the Affordable Healthcare Act, once the Trump supporters they hit 65 they get on the cheap healthcare band wagon that is Medicare.  Polorising the political landscape is good for the political parties, even if it is not good for democratic ideas.  How do you encourage bi-partisan collaboration in these times?  Goodness knows, but I hope it returns soon.

My iPad picks up next doors router. In fact, it picks up every router within about 100 metres, as well as BT FON and BT WIFI X of course. But the routers are all padlocked.
Don't know if that's good or bad, and don't really care.

I'm not talking about networks, it's in Win 10 File Explorer > Networks.

There's 1000's of threads about this on the forums, seems to be a worldwide problem.
There's a lot of shit kit out there. Shit kit* is a global problem.

*shit as in insecure. Ask Gaffers, keeps him gainfully employed :D

As well as employees who keep making very avoidable mistakes*.  Both of which for I am truely grateful  ;D ;D

General Car Chat / Re: So much for PHEV's
« on: 10 November 2018, 17:15:53 »
Yup, here I am with enough budget to go for a top end EV (I could if I wanted, I'm just a stingy Yorkshire man) and yes the BIK for some EVs is higher than some PHEVs  ???  Then it is more tax efficient for me to go for a rather pick-up than anything else.  Admittedly that all changes in a couple of years but right now it makes more sense for a business to have a big thirsty truck than something that would reduce roadside emmissions as well as pollution in towns and cities.

Madness.

The version i drive is definitely RWD.
Ah, ok, my mistake, I thought it was a reworking of the older STS ;)

RWD doesn't help the looks though :D

The crappy suspension makes booting it a squeeky bum moment.  You could live, you could be thrown in a hedge.  You just dont know ;D

There's more to it than just that.

The 'advert' was a video clip created by Greenpeace to push their political agenda.  Iceland asked and Greenpeace allowed them to use the clip as an advert.  But it has its roots in a political message which is bammed under current advertising rules.

If Iceland had used it as a basis for their own advert there would have been little or no problem.

My mother in law has a DTS which she lets me use whenever i visit.

4.6 V8.  Less than 300 ponies.  Crap handling.  Slightly smaller than a british house.

The aircon works though.
