Omega General Help / Re: 1995 rear brake back dust shield undo

Your picture is perfectly clear :y

The difference between them being the slot for the parking brake lever is below the hub... The left one in the picture is actually the right hand one and vice versa so 24436738 is the left hand one and it would therefore be reasonable to assume (without looking because I CBA) that 24436739 is the right hand one... ;)

Yes, they are upside down but left one in picture is for the left side of the car I guess...

What part number was the unbranded one supposed to match? 24436738 to fit an Omega B?

Or was it sold as fitting an Omega A, Senator B, Vectra A & Calibra?

Yes, I bought that to my Omega B. I could put them one upon another and take the new pic. I think they are similar (L&R).

Succeeded to find original GM 24436739 from Germany and for the other side unbranded one from Finnish supplier. Both are that style where pin is put from front.

Is it so that new back plates are not available anymore. I remember that I read somewhere that "new production plates" could be found. If hub is away and you can open the four bolts I would install new plate...

Sure, succeeded to download it, thanks a lot!

Finally found it, too. Page 135 in Finnish manual. Difficult manual to find anything, another guide needed for that.

Where, I did not find that in the manual...

Omega General Help / Re: Vibrating in Higher Speed

OK DC, but if e.g. front track rod should I feel it in steering wheel? I'll test next time 130-150 if no police men around. I still wonder why not the rubber parts of cardan shaft?

Omega General Help / Vibrating in Higher Speed
« on: 30 June 2021, 18:18:40 »
High speed in Finland means 120km/hour = about 75MPH. When driving that speed my Omega vibrates slightly - in a way it did not do earlier. It is quite seldom I ride such roads where this 120km/h is possible. It is not coming from wheels I think as if coming from front I should notice it in steering wheel. And if coming from rear I usually see it also in my AR25 selector. I saw it in the "sun visor" going up and down as it was not locked in mirror side and I felt it in my arse. Cardan shaft? What it can be? 300 000 km behind so almost new...

I remember there was one difference between the Nissen's and original. Nissen's is more rigid, there is a "collar" in top of it so I had to saw slightly the plastic frame of the inner fan to get the fan on place...
