Another one moved on from Omegas - hope you get as much enjoyment from your new motor as I've had/having from the two Jags I've had since my old Elite.  You'll soon realise that Omegas are now outdated, as one would expect from a 13 yo+ car. Reminds me of this every time I drive SWMBOs Estate.

Have to say I'd be getting them to replace it at their cost ;)

Yep sounds like the warning lamp bulb has been removed or has failed.  Easy enough job to get instrument cluster out to check/fit new bulb (10 mins at most) - there's a howto on here.

Your whole saga is just unbelievable and unacceptable - I'm currently in the market for a replacement for SWMBOs Omega Estate, and was looking at Mercedes, 3, maybe 4 years old.  Your experience does very little to promote MB IMO.  Have to say that I've had company MBs a few years back and found the main dealerships ok (I used one in Colchester), obviously from your experience things have changed.

Pity Jaguar doesn't make a decent sized Estate, as I've found their aftersales/service excellent.

The girl i was on about before STILL drives & is a raging alcoholic, been trying to  catch her at it for the past 2 months since the trial but due to numbers I'm never on the same beat. She'll come again, hopefully before she causes damage to someone else  ::)
As frustrating as I am sure that is, what would catching her again do? Especially if you're specifically targeting them as an individual :-\

Not condoning her behaviour in any shape, but legally, is it better for her to be caught bang to rights following a serious rtc than risk CPS throwing it out and a misconduct charge for victimisation :-\

Thats surely a bit of a stupid viewpoint - how would you feel if you or yours were the victims of a serious rtc in those circumstances?  Probably blame the police for not being proactive.  ::)

They are criminals.

Exactly  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Exhausts

Also got a ETS 2.5 Estate system for SWMBOs 2.6 Estate - got local indy tyre/exhaust place to fit it for, I think, £40.  Quiet and no issues since (fitted well over a year ago)

In the Haynes museum, Sparkford, is a Jaguar V12 that used to be John Haynes personal transport. Beside it is a picture of John Haynes, and a plate stating that the engine was a nightmare, and hardly ever ran on all 12 cylinders despite all the efforts of Jaguar mechanics..
Yep used to look after a mates XJS V12 - PITA to do anything on - makes a V6 Omega look like a Mini.  Much preferred working on my old 3.8 E Type.

Harris K Thingy is selling an Estate, ad in sales plus numerous other refs to it in other posts, price is dropping by the hour - if you hang on long enough it may be cheap enough or even free :o.  He has to sell it as his mother said so!! ???

DLK swopped mine over several years ago and it was a heavy bit of kit. :o

He did insist on use of a friends garage 4 post ramp and without it I fail to see how anybody could replace 1 just on axle stands or ramps.

The genius had it replaced in around 3 hours which included filling with new Dex and checking levels in between gear shifts.A true hard job but he made light work of it  :y

Replaced autobox on my old Elite, incl refill Dex and filter clean, on my drive with axle stands/trolley jacks with help from a mate in around 3 hours.  Easy enough job, we were lucky that exhaust dropped out easily.  Just be careful removing box - its a weighty old lump.
