It will be fine with the extra 2Gb, the only time they need to be matched is using dual channel  :y

Windows ideally should have 4Gb unless you have a program that require more.

Thankyou  :y

Ive notice my notebook is running tad slower than it used to...not quite sure why...

Ive run a full antivirus scan and Malwarebytes....nothing found..

Ive uninstalled any programs that I don't use and deleted a few programs from the startup group...

So I only have 2GB of memory and under normal use its using 90% plus of that.....so I'm thinking that adding more memory might do the trick...

Seems to have gone a bit slow since the large win10 update....

According to task manager its got a SODIMM 2GB 1333Mhz with a free slot....

So if I were to buy this, would the notebook be happy, no idea of the make of SODIMM already in there...

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-corsair-ddr3-so-dimm-pc3-10600-(1333)-204-pin-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-150v

Any ideas? It looks ok to me, but would it be better to buy a 4GB SODIMM and replace the 2GB one that's there?  :-\

Do you have any of those stupid (unsecure) gay "security software" than many banks insist on, such as rapport?  If so, uninstall that wank, and try again. Then tell your bank that the software they recommend is problematic.

Nope, just win10 with the standard antivirus/security that comes with.....

Again I cannot see how its my notebook at fault as it works fine over mobile data connection...  :-\

Bank is Co-op...

www.co-operativebank.co.uk

I can get there fine....then on top right is drop down menu....select 'log in to personal online banking' and it should bring up a page asking for login and password .... but for me over adsl connection all I get is 'carnt reach this page' .....

Is your Browser up to date?, a lot of Bank logins require that these days.

The fact I can login using the data connection of my mobile, suggests to me, theres nothing wrong with my notebook  ;)

I'm using Edge, but have tried IE as well, no difference.

Went to supermarket today.....spent just short of £20....

I do my meat and veg shop in a indoor market...far cheaper than supermarket  :y

Recently I have been unable to login to my online bank account.

I can get to the main webpage but then when I hit the button that says login and then it should prompt me for my username and password.
But it doesn't...at that point it just says unable to reach website.

This using my notebook and using my desktop.

If I disconnect from my router and connect to my mobile phone....its works fine over that data connection.

So, looks like my notebook is fine and its either a router problem (reset several times) or an ISP problem  :-\

Any thoughts ?? I want to swap the router over for another one to test it, but I have to wait for my ISP to tell me my password....As I haven't a clue and carnt find the paperwork that they sent me years ago telling me what it was  ::)

No chance of his supplying me with what you suggest, Rods2; my home blood pressure monitor was supplied by me and my blood sugar level tester was supplied free by the manufacturer - its cost being recouped by the teat strips I use twice daily and grudgingly supplied by the NHS. Some areas won't even provide them at all.
Excel no longer stresses me now, especially after I corrected my accidental pressing of the Scroll Lock key!
Oh, and just to mollify TB, I DO use it for mathematical functions - it averages out the blood pressure readings for me.  :y

Ron.

Really  :o

My blood sugar monitor was supplied by my GP surgery and I was given a new one last year, as the diabetic nurse decided my old machine (that id had for 4 years wasn't probably accurate anymore)
The cassettes and needles (cartridge type) it uses are permanently on my repeat prescription  :y

Have you tried less cider? ;)

Give up Cider?  :o  That's my birthright!  8)

Anyway Cider dosn't cause loss of mobility, just a loss of direction now and again!  ;D

It does if you've consumed an amount that you carnt stand up  ;D ;D ::)

Seen a few we like recently, but the property market has stalled a bit, due to uncertainty around brexit I think. Normally properties which sell fast are on market for a long time. Sometimes think it's worth a cheeky offer, but we are in no position to sell at the moment.

Really?? Houses around me are going on the market....generally 2 weeks later theres a sold board up!
