General Discussion Area / M6 smash 6 dead
« on: 21 October 2008, 19:45:38 »
Just wanted to say how shocked and saddened I was to read about the 6 members of the Statham family from Llandudno who were killed in a terrible smash on the M6 last night.

The father was 38, the mum 33, and the children were 13yrs, 9yrs, 20 months and 10 weeks.

As a husband and also a father of 2 young lads I find this kind of incident extremely upsetting, and my heart goes out to the other members of the family who had just been visited by the Stathams on their day out.

Dont want to speculate about what happened, just wanted to express my sadness and may they all rest in peace.

Absolutely shocking.

 :(

Brosnan first, followed closely by Daniel Craig, who has brought a gritty violent edginess to the role.

Cant wait to see Quantam Of Solace.

Sorry to part hijack this thread (it is about colour though!) I still have not seen another Omega of any type, let alone an MV6 in the same colour as ours........Jade Green Mica apparently.

Anyone else got one of these??!!

lol

I agree, totally overpriced but great condition.

The only thing I hate about Elites is that from the front they are identical to a CDX ie. no bespoke front bumper unlike the mv6 one.

Why didnt they put the nicer (in my opinion) MV6 front bumper on Elites too?

New VED rates.........?

The soon to be unemployed Mr G Brown wont stop me enjoying my motoring for the sake of the extra 4 quid a week it is going to cost me

I love the MV6 far too much to let that incompetent numpty tell me what I can and cant drive

When they all get out of their ministerial Jags and begin to practice what they preach then they can start talking to me about how polluting my 2.6 is, until then they can rack off

Life is too short, and what is 4 quid a week anyway.....??
I agree, but trading up to a facelift isn't worth it to me.  If I'm going for max VED I'm going for something really obnoxious.  :P

What? Something heavy, large, fast and gives off as much Co2 as an airliner...........?

A ministerial Jaguar maybe??

 ;)

I wasnt putting him down I was just saying that to me his confidence has progressed this year into arrogance.

Like I said, he is a great driver and is at least not too shy to have a go...!!

I was a big fan of Hamilton last year in his first season, but for me this year he has exchanged his confidence for arrogance and I am starting to go right off him.

Great driver and aggressive on the track but has he already been distracted by the peripheral attractions of the lifestyle he now leads.........

PS. If it helps to focus his mind a bit, I would be happy to "take care" of his girlfriend for the time being.

I thought the programme would actually end up showing how useless the UK builder was compared to the cheaper, better, harder working Polish one.........

Sadly that wasnt the case, they were both made out to be bleeding useless.......although at least the Polish guy did his best to satisfy his client, despite making some errors. The UK builder came across as all Uk builders do, workshy, amateur and arrogant.

Got a cheap Tom Tom Go 300 off Ebay for 50 quid. New fascia on it and it looks like new.

Customisable via TomTom Home.

Updated it with new European maps SD Card for our forthcoming run to Normandy, but I use it every single day with my work as an HGV driver and it never misses a beat, never loses itself (unlike the 900 quid Kenwood widescreen satnav in the truck!!) and is totally reliable.

Tom Tom all the way mate.

A 17 y.o. was drinking in a pub near to where I live about a year ago.
he wasnt quite as sensible and decided he could ride 1 mile home on his scooter. He hit a telegraph pole less than 100 yards from his house and was killed.

Exactly what I meant in my original post.
