Question if I may ....... does the angelwax stuff and then the sealant have to be done straight after the polish .. or can it be a few days later ??? Just need to know if I can do the wash/clay/polish and then wait for the other bits or should i wait and do it all in one day ????

Very new to this as you can tell ....   :)
My thoughts are to do in one day if possible as the surface will get dust and minor abrasives sitting on it even after a day, especially if outside, so you would have to clean these off before applying any finishing coatings or you will risk very minor markings to the previously prepared surface.

That makes sense ... so I'll wait until everything is here ..... thanks for the input !

I was speaking about GP,s. Read the words before you call something crap.

I think you'll find the link is actually GP's salaries .. should you care to look ..... and not a 6 figure sum to be seen ...  so I think the "crap" call is fair...

If you purchase a part for your car what would you do, check that it is correct & fit for purpose I know that's what I do, therefore someone in the UK must be employed to replenish PPE which conforms to our standards that's what I would like to think, obviously the purchase must have been left to someone without the necessary knowledge/ training .

If I order a part from Germany .. I order according to part number and standard required...  and I EXPECT the delivery to conform to those details ...  I don't drive to Germany to check .... if they don't conform I have to send them back ...

SO, HMG order PPE to UK specification, are told it complies, and so take delivery ... on arrival the items do not conform ...so are rejected ..... so just where in that "chain" is the fault ???  Only one place I'm afraid .. the "supplier" side ...

Looks very similar to what I had a couple of years back ... cost to fix was £400 a side ... new sills and some serious welding around the seatbelt anchorage points, plus a bit of cosmetic welding elsewhere, followed by a bit of respraying .....

What the Irmscher side skirts was hiding was frightening when I was shown !!!

You really couldn't write this could you, what an absolute bolox the government have made of this

Try blaming the right people .. like those in Turkey perhaps ??  At least the items were checked before being issued.. otherwise you "moaners at everything" would then be blaming the "government" for distributing faulty kit ...

Damned if they do... damned if they don't .. easy target to balme everything on ... never let the truth get in the way of a good moan ...

Omega General Help / Re: New Xenons - a question
« on: 07 May 2020, 10:44:57 »
I accept I am probably getting confused with another car, but if my memory is working, the Xenon lights had a switch in the back to flick between LHD and RHD as you couldn't use beam deflectors. Check an owners manual for a car with xenons.

NOPE ! the lever on the lights sets either the default dip position .. left or right dip depending on country .. OR a neutral dip setting ... so left dip (UK) can be set to neutral for driving in EU land as an example ..   it CANNOT be used to set a right dip (EU) to left dip (UK)

\___  = UK    _____ = Neutral    _____/ = EU land

Human nature dictates that people get pissed off very quickly, esp young people. It only takes a couple of folk to make a break for it and others follow very quickly.
The lockdown may prove to have been a massive lifesaver. Or the most expensive overreaction in history.

Tell that to the families of those who have died.......  :(

Never let scientific evidence or the truth stand in the way of a good conspiracy theory ......  :)
you think there has been no cover ups or no evidence has been tampered with or people silenced  then  :-\

I believe nothing posted by hysterical media "experts", social media "experts", or anyone who posts un-corroborated "opinion" disguised as "fact".

It is very easy to cry "wolf" ... a little actual "proof" (note .. not guesswork or conjecture)  would be nice from these so-called "experts"

In the news this morning: The first case of coronavirus in France was actually might have been in December. It was misdiagnosed as pneumonia at the time, but a reexamination of the swab taken at the time - by a single researcher -  confirmed it was covid19. This was before the initial outbreak in Wuhan made the news.

FTFY .. when that result has been peer reviewed and checked, then it "might" become "a fact" .. at the moment it is the opinion of a single person.

Before you disconnect what you deem a "wire" ..as said, its an airline held in with a spring clip... MAKE SURE THE BODY OF THE CAR IS SUPPORTED .. if you have raised the car on ramps without supporting the BODY you are in danger of serious injury .... if there is ANY air left in the boots, as you disconnect that "pipe" the air will escape and the whole body WILL drop .. and quickly .. if an arm, or even worse, a chest is underneath it will be pinned ....

BE BLOODY CAREFUL
