Thaks for all your comments. The Carlton was a 2.6 Diplomat. It is no more. Borrowed it while to Mig was in for paint. It has been broken as it would never seen another MOT. Far to much wrong with it. The rusty bits were blasted as they hadnt gone through anywhere. I can thourouly recommed Fulfords for any body and paint. I,ve known him since I was 16. He does anything from modern day to classic resto jobs and also custom. He has a lot of Jap drft stuff for road and track come to him.

Front bumper has the small lower lip spoiler added to it. bought off e-bay from somewhere around slough or reading. polish people with a UK outlet. They had to cut the bottom off the standard bumper as it wouldnt sit quite right.
Thanks for the help James :y

I used to be involved in running a cycle speedway club. Our bikes could never be used on roads or paths as we have no brakes. We were a dicipline of another club that was a road racing club. The arrogance of these people seemed to increase ten fold once they put on the Lycra race wear. Riding side by side, cutting corners, footpaths and pavements and most were well over fourty. But, there is also the breed of driver who belives its their RIGHT to have a driving licence and do what they want, how they want and sod everyone else if they get caught up in it. A driving licence is a PRIVALIDGE, not a right. This needs to be stressed more by the driving standards agencys IMO

Hi all, had no luck with photobucket myself so have e-mailed my pics accross to Twiglet so he will load them on here for me.
Bought my car in Dec 06 from a dealer near Sizewell in Suffolk. 49260 recorded miles and I was as happy as Larry at the price I paid for it. 10 months later, the front came off the air-con pump and made a hell of a mess. Wiped out everything accross the front of the engine. was put in touch with TB and got a rad, air intake hoses and a couple of other bits from him and was back up and usable three days later, although with three "power bulges" in the front of the bonnet where the fan blades embedded them selves. 6 months after that, it got covered with white primer, pink primer and red gloss paint spots by some tosher of a painter. 4  1/2 year battle with the insurance company over it with some very derisery offers for the damage. They have declared it a write off due to uneconomical repair costs and paid out a sum that was less than the cars worth. Took it to a mate I,ve know since i was 16 and did a deal with him for getting it painted. Mid June it went in and i got it back on August bank holiday. Time to finally put on my extras I had amassed over the years while battling with "Redefining the standards". here it is all before and after. I,m really pleased with the look. Just a set of the ,02-03 five spoke wheels to paint and fit and it will be done. Fitting that style wheel as they look to be very easy to keep clean, important as I dont get the time I would like to keep the car as clean as I would like.

Seems like the Lib Dems have now lost the plot since they have been in the power sharing.

Chucked it down quite heavily from 6am till 7.30. no school buses and the poor old teachers couldt make it in. Accident up the road as someone reversed out their drive and the car slide straight out into the traffic. Virtually all gone now (11.30) hope it dont freeze tonight as I got to go to Thetford!

If I only knew how to do the links for letting the ABS "blue light" fanatic James W have a look. He has the Omega estate police replica. I used to know where an Austin westminster A110 ex police car was. I had tentativly attempted to get hold of it for banger racing. The police spec versions of this car had a triple carb set up on them.

One little known fact of a Mk1 Golf is that the wheelbase is 10mm shorter then a Sierra. My speedfreak mate was into his Cossies when he aquired a very tidy Mk1 GTI. He then set about  fitting the nessacary underbody strengthening etc to fit the sierra rear axle and then got the front inner wings done to take the Sierra legs. after fitting everything and getting it runing and then through the engineers test, he got bored and sold it on. he,s now in Aus playing with V8,s
