Welcome. You could be excused if your range rover had the 2.5 diesel in it. That engine was also fitted to the Omega.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / External temp sensor?
« on: 25 April 2012, 20:14:11 »
The external temp sensor on my F/L 2.5 diesel has always been pretty accurate. A month or so ago, it went a bit haywire and ended up reading -40c in a very sunny and warm day. It then put up f    c on the info unit. I changed the sensor on the bumper and all was well again for a week. Now this one is throwing a wobbly and doing alsorts of odd readings. The worst part is that the heater seems to take its readingd from this to adjust the interior of the car to suit the set temp on the climate so you end up cooked. Any ideas? Keith B

The one thing that never came out in the witch hunt of MPs and the expensise claims is that they all have to become self employed to do the "job". Does it mean that every self employed person in the country would have to publish their earnings and tax payments if this goes through?? :o   Keith B

Does sound like a seized cable, a common fault if its an auto as many people dont use it, just the park function of the gearbox.  keith B

I had aproblem with a garage that did the injectors on my 2.5 diesel. They totally wrecked the wiring on number 4 and broke the pipe that runs from the servo to egr valve. They charged £350 for the whole job then it cost them £250 for a replacment number 4 injector, £25 for the pipe. Loads of profit!!!  Keith B
