Omega General Help / Re: Quick temp question
« on: 06 July 2010, 21:53:21 »
2.5 Elite, 1 plus 2 fans (total 3) fan 1 clicks in at 97 then the other 2 click in at 100.
Suggest the rad needs a clean out/replacement.
'Fan Test' maybe worth a try.

Maybe a bit of a trip but worth every penny  :y
Give him a 'ring' with your 'readings', ask what he thinks.

xenon beams run warmer, therefore attract dirt when 'raining', mandatory requirement in Europe, including us in the UK !

I have seen this question asked before, my car is a saloon, this is for a friend who wishes to keep the 'air ride adjust shocks',
which make/manufacturer is currently a good deal ?

Omega General Help / Re: Brake Squeak !!
« on: 19 May 2010, 20:11:03 »
Thanks, but the 'springs' can be removed, just wondered if anyone was changing there 'brake pads' and could send an old one !.
Regarding the 'wear sensor' £7.00 from Vauxhall.
The pads are still in very good condition, 1/4 worn, I tend to replace 'discs & pads', £90 trade club

Omega General Help / Brake Squeak !!
« on: 19 May 2010, 19:43:12 »
Front disc's started making a very loud 'squeaking' sound, stripped them down to find that one of the f/o/s pads was missing the 'anti-squeal' spring, no idea where it's gone but the 'wear sensor' is also broken, pads are only 1/4 worn, does anyone have a 'spring' going spare, please ?

Omega General Help / Re: 3.2 v6 cutting out
« on: 24 April 2010, 17:25:09 »
I wasn't sure a 3.2 was good for 'the paper clip test', only 2.5 & 3.0 litre of the V6 engines, however you have and got a result, symptom would suggest 'crank sensor'.

Omega General Help / Re: using water!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: 26 April 2010, 14:53:56 »
Sounds like HBV, they tend to leak after the heater has been set at one temperture for a long period, sudden warm weather you reduce the temperture in the car, the HBV valve moves and leaks.
Just replaced mine £32.50 plus vat from GM.
