Omega General Help / Re: Laquered Bumper fixing.

Yet again, a Tesco car park oaf,  incapable of steering has nudged my bumper.

The paint and laquer is all cracked and flaking off.

Would clear nail varnish help keep whats left in place?

I would rub the affected area down with some 1500 wet n dry then spray some clear laquer over it, then finish it of with a buff n polish, will not know it has been done.  :y

I had a smart repair man to do my black bits on the bumper, it had some deep scrapes, he sorted it, and re-textured it afterwards... £20

If you need to find a smart repairer, ask at a local garage that sells cars, they all use them, and can put you onto one.

Omega General Help / Re: No Heat from Blowers !!! HELP!!!
« on: 10 October 2007, 22:35:41 »
I have had a good look, all the pipes seem to be ok....

I noticed today, that when the blowers are off for a while, then turned on on full heat, it comes out really hot, then goes cold.

When the dial for feet, front, and windscreen settings is turned, it has a loudish hiss when turned.

So the heat is getting there, if only for a little while, until it goes cold, takes about 30 secs.

Any more ideas???

Thanks, Mark.  :y :y :y

Any Ideas???

I get slightly warm but thats it.... :(

The AirCon is not as cold as it could be either, but this might need regassing....

The rear multiram not working either, could it be related, I have checked MDTM's diagram and all seems as it should..

Where can I start???  Not to knowledgeable under the 2.5 bonnet, so descriptive responses would be most appreciated,

Thanks in advance, Mark.  :y

I have checked the first items, the yellow canvas is attached and still looking brand new, the other end is attached to the throttle with a black plastic clip.

Will have to wait till 2moro for the multimeter test, as its at home in the shed somewhere, will bring it to work and read it here 2moro.

Now a bit of info would not go amiss here, you are sounding confident with a mulimeter, i have new one i have not used yet, with a swith on the front with lots of different settings and a lcd screen, any idea which one, my last one had a needle which went up to 12v and a ac/dc switch.

Cheers, Mark.  :y :y

Omega General Help / Cruise control not working ????
« on: 03 October 2007, 11:14:52 »
Hi, I have only just got this car, the guy i bought it from said the cruise control just stopped working one day, I have checked the fuse, which is the same one as the reverse lights, and they work, so it's not that.

Any ideas anyone?????

Thanks.
