Omega General Help / Re: Rear bulbs

From memory, PFL saloons have two tail light bulbs per side, a 380 5/21W and a 207 5W while FL cars have only one, a 380 5/21W.
Please play nicely. No one wants to listen/read a keyboard warriors rants....
If it is currently taxed does it not go that this is still "official" until DVLA receives V5 detailing change of ownership? Not saying it's strictly legit, but is this not the case?Insurance obviously would have to be sorted before driving it.I would go with this. It takes a couple of days at least for information on VED to become 'live' on the DVLA database, especially if the vendor 'forgets' to post the old V5c staight away! Its not as though you have an expired disc, or no disc at all to look at these days, an ANPR reader would show it as taxed for a few days after sale, not the same with insurance though, you must get that arranged beforehand, as said above.
And if anybody can spot the deliberate mistake......Hard hat & hi-viz ??
Any evidence of water in the front footwells? Three points of concern are making sure the big plugs behind the kick panels are dry and fully seated, and also the same for the alarm/locking ecu ehind the drivers kick panelThat'll be the cause, then. Just had an 'incident' with the n/s scuttle drain, resulting in water overflowing into the passenger footwell. That was to be the next job, taking the front passenger carpet out to dry it. Just waiting for an improvement in the weather!
Hold each switch down until you hear the relevant window click, then hold it up the same. Repeat for all four windows... Job jobbedNope, just tried that, made no difference.
Replace SRS ECU with one not configured for the CSS and ensure the flat yellow rectangular connector under seat is NOT re-connectedThis would seem to be the easier option, does anyone know the correct serial/part no. for this srs ecu?
QuoteI have a fault on my 2001 3.0 elite that will become a problem with the new MOT regs that are due to come in 2012.
I think you will find that an airbag light on will fail the current mot
Not according to my MOT guy, the new regs come into force on 1/1/2012.
As for removing the fault with a Tech2, that doesn't work, even with the seat plugs undone, the light goes out then reappears after a few seconds.
Perhaps changing the airbag ecu would be the best option to try first, I can see a trip to the breakers yard coming up!
Any other comments would be most welcome though, guys.
