TBH, we need a special search facility for the guides section or atleast order them by category

Personally, would have loved to see this guide a few months back - could never find it :'(

You might want to try http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/ as it is highly recommended by a lot of members here.

I have personally booked my car for the 30th May; feedback will be provided later on.

PS: can you please update your location?

Omega General Help / Now its Radiator Fan...
« on: 01 May 2009, 16:09:28 »
All,
I am back with more problems :-( :'(
Nice hot sunny day and I got stuck in traffic, noticed the engine temparature reached above 100 and the fan did not kick in

When I came back the coolant was boiling and a little spilled out of the overflow tank.

I have recently replaced the radiator and the fan switch - should I replace the Fan or check for thermostat or something.

The GM spare part number on the fan is 90448148 - any one has a spare?

Thanks

Ummm don't know about that, but mine seems to operate when ever, just select Drive and press button!

Any disadvantages of using this approach? It works on mine as well and the vechicle handles much better but worried about any issues

I would say no benefit because having seen you and your car I would say you are not going to be driving around like a mad man. I would just buy two 195s and save your money for something else that will enevitably pop up.

Thanks, Radar.

Thanks everyone for your time & for your replies

DC - I am aware of rating and have nothing less than 91.

Still waiting to hear if changing to 205/65 94V will have any signifant benifit over 195/65 91H. Any clues?

Per the manual I can use 195/65 with 91H speed rating or 205/65 with 94V

So I have decided to leave the rear ones at 205/65 94V and the front ones will be 165/95 91H

Checked with my insure company - changing to a 16" alloy would cost me more to insure so I have ruled that as an option.

Do you reckon changing to 206/65 94V is worth the extra spend? What might be the benefits when compared to 195/65 91H?

Thanks

Omega General Help / Is it Legal?
« on: 21 April 2009, 15:23:42 »
Need to replace a couple of tyres (195/65) on my car and noticed yesterday the other 2 good tyres of size 205/65 15.

Also noticed one of them is a marked V while the rest are H marked.

Is the legal to have 2 tyres 205/65 while the rest are 195/65, and also can I retain 205/65 at the rear while I use 195/65 in front?

Fingers crossed, I do not need to replace all 4 :-[

Omega General Help / Re: Passenger door locked
« on: 22 April 2009, 09:43:17 »
Happened to me a couple of times again on the rear passenger side door.

Pushing the door inwards from the outside while trying to open the lock from inside has done the trick - goes without stating you need someone to push the door inwards

PS: I might have been plain lucky and am still looking for solenoir motor for mine
HTH :y
