when i swapped my mfl bumper for a f/l i had to have the backing bar, polysterene bit facelift bumper a lot bigger than mfl,  and also the rear inner wheel arches  :y  the ones on the mfl screw straight into the bumper whereas on the facelift bumper they screw to the bumper from underneath  ;)

Omega General Help / Re: Rattly Locking Pins
« on: 07 April 2012, 20:19:20 »
really annoying i know  :(  but firstly check that the top of the door card is clipped on properly  :y the clips are held on by a plastic strip that is glued to the top of the door card, if the doorcard has been off before you will probally find that the plastic strip has come unstuck  :( just reglue with a decent glue and no more rattling doorpins  :y

not a quirk something not quite right
get codes read and post up findings  :y

the rubbers on the bottom of the windows are clipped on  :y  if you take window right down then remove door card you will be able to see the clips from the inside that hold it on, a big flat bladed screwdiver will prise them off but be careful they can bend very easily  :(

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Faulty volume control
« on: 31 March 2012, 17:10:29 »
The volume control on my 2006 seems to be faulty, the speakers work on one side or the other but if I jiggle the knob from left to right
I can alter which side works, thats ok but Iwould like both sides at the same time.
Any ideas?
Andy

umm not to sound daft but you havent got the radio on balance have you ??? if not then what rob said  :y

Omega General Help / Re: creaking suspension

An easy test would be to spray a siliscon(not petro chemical based) lube on/into the bush rubber. Then re bounce the suspension, see if it stops.

^^^^^^^^ as above  :y

usual suspect for creaking is anti roll bar bushes  :y

« on: 25 March 2012, 08:05:26 »
could be a number of things  :(
1-when you press switch can you hear motor trying to turn?
2-when you press switch does interior light light dim a little?
3-if either of these happen then its time to take off door card and see if anything is causing the glass to stick or has come off runners
4-if none of the above i would say dodgy switch try a cheap replacement from scrappy to check
 :y
