I've popped the blank out, and it looks like there is a connector block in there, like if the car was fitted with traction control but with the switch missing. There is also a blank on the passenger side opposite the boot pop, that also has what looks like a connector block.

Only got the switch, no connecting block that slots into the console surround

Will it not fit into the blank in the console? ie. can I drill a hole in the blank to accommodate the switch ?
Not quite sure what you mean, are you thinking of mounting a Trafficmaster switch in a blank?

No, I just want a switch to turn the interior light off. RobG says "Only got the switch, no connecting block that slots into the console surround" But I dont know what he means.

I have a slightly annoying problem with the stereo(CCR2006)  in my car now and again when  I start the car with the radio selected the preset station drops out (radio2) and it selects 87.5 on its own and I have to reselect the station preset
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this ,it doesnt happen every time

Mine sometimes selects the cd player.

Yes it's annoying to have the light on as you drive off, I rigged a redundant TrafficMaster switch as a by-pass. Just poke the button & out it goes.  :y

Yes I occurred to me to rig a by pass, I was thinking of putting a switch above the boot pop switch on the dash..

Can anyone recommend a switch to fit in the blank above the boot pop switch, just to over ride the interior light delay?

I have done the boot mod so I can pop the boot without taking the key out, but I have noticed the interior light delay is always active even when the ignition is on. Has any one else had this after doing the boot mod?

Omega General Help / Re: A few issues with my 2.2dti
« on: 18 February 2012, 17:14:27 »
Let us know if the glow plugs cure your starting problems. I have a 2.2 dti cdx saloon 51 plate. and had much the same issues as you describe..Would not start after being parked all night facing uphill. I renewed the leak off pipes, but it only improved things a little. I think I still have a problem with fuel running back to the tank, but its not as bad as it was. I think the previous owner must have had trouble as well, because there is one of those squeezy bulbs with a one way valve in it under the bonnet, and when I have trouble starting I use it to get the fuel through.
Also the little heater under the front o/s wing was leaking coolant, so I removed it and took it to bits to see what the trouble was, turned out it was rotten inside, so I binned it. And blocked the fuel pipe that feeds it. and  joined the coolant pipes together.

Hi, has any one got any of those clips for keeping the spare wheel cover in place? it annoys the sh*t out of me every time I open the boot, finding the cover all over the place. Also the rear door ashtrays are missing I think the previous owner must have traded them in for a lump of black pudding (he came from Barnsley) along with the spare wheel cover clips. car is face lift saloon btw.
I dont have enough post's to use the right section, so mods please move.  Many thanks.

Cheers Andy.
When I was an ABS member I had a card to use at my local main stealers but I am no longer in the ABS. I thought there may be a similar set up on oof. How are you btw. still going to the meets I hear Pete Croft is no longer a member as well. And what about the guy that went to Oz, (forgot his name) does he still keep in touch?
