the batery side is hard to get at !the best thing for you to do is look in the maintainance section and there are instructions on how to replace the headlight and i think its the same side as yours .make sure you disconnect the battery ?hope this helps you yatesy :y

your hbv is below the matrix hoses at the back of the engine drivers side ?have a look and see if the vac pipe as come off your heater bypass valve ?i have had the same problem !i have flushed the system about half a dozen times or so to clean it out and i have flushed the matrix both ways a few times and it has sorted the problem out .hope this helps and good luck ? pete :y

hope you dont think i am hijacking your post but i have a simalar thing happening to mebut my in and out hose to the matrix are red hot could i be having the same problem ?when i rev up it sometimes get warmer ? :-/ :-/ :y

the vac pipe comes out between the matrix pipes rob and cant find out where it goes there are two vac pipes that come out ones already connected the is not .any ideas ? :-/ :y

i have been having problems with my heaters !i have flushed the system three times still no heat come through ?it blows cold .i have checked the in and out hoses in to the matrix and they are both hot?i have had another go this afternoon .i found a air pipe coming out of the bulkhead beyween the matrix pipes but i cannot find where it goes to ?it is not that long .does anybody have any ideas please ?it must be something to do with the heater not working brrr :-/ :-/ :y

the said cable is part of your throttle chamber if you follow the cable to the left it should have a plug on it ! it goes in to connector near to the air flow meter .you will probily find they have left it unplugged plug it back in .should stasrt first time and your engine management light will go out ! hope this helps ? pete :y

first thing to do is take keys out of the ignition .lock the car then unlock it then try starting it !then put your headlights on and turn the key if lights go dim its the battery or starter.motor.try all of those things and see what happens?hope it helps? :y
