I don't really know to be honest... But he looks like an original one (V.2009)! And I never used other discs in this player except the navi one...

So if it's the laser, what do I have to do now??

Either live with it .. or replace the laser  .. there is a thread around about that .. I'll see if I can find it

EDIT ...

NCDC 2013 reads only CD discs , not DVD

I know that, not DVD video, but the navi discs are DVD! It's the high player that I'm talking about, not the magazine.

Why my NCDC 2013 eject the navi DVD by itself all times?? Always when I start the car (when all is "cold")... Looks like the headunit eject the DVD until it heat a little bit...

You're welcome!
My Miggy is a left hand drive too, I think there is no difference of difficulty. You have to remove the seat entirely from the car anyway, only 4 bolts and the plug, and it's out  :y

If you try to repair yours, may be you can take pics and if you need help, just ask! Then we will can make a guide for the "how to" section  :y

I had the same problem of yours and have solved him!
I have cream beige leather seats and my driver seat don't heated up...

You have to unmount your seat completely and separate the metal and the cushion, to access to the pads.

This guide will be helpfull for everyone here!
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1192830810

When you have the heated pad before you, check the wires connection that entering in it... I'm sure that you will find at least a burned one... You just need to re-sold it (may be using a little piece of new wire, same size that those used for speakers...).

You will need A LOT of time and patience, and you need to be VERY carefull, but the job can be done! Mine heat again now and it's a pure happiness when it's -7°C out, I just hope that will last long  ;D

For the leather seats, the heated pads are stitched with the leather, but it doesn't matter for repair it!

CHECK THE PAD ON THE SEAT FIRST!!, that could be saving your time as I'm pretty sure that the heated pad on the backrest of the seat is OK!

Unfortunatly I don't have made pics...

Hope this helps  :y

How big is the sensor on the valeo system that gets placed in the windscreen? (Pics would be useful)
Also was it easy to install?

And most importantly - in your opinion, was it worth the money?

Raj

-I will take pics for tomorrow morning but I have placed the sensor behind the mirror, so we pratically don't see it.

-It's very easy to install if you have some basic knowledge to find all the wires behind the lights switch. There is no CanBus in the Omega for the lights, so just find the wires (with a lamp test), and connect all to the valeo box.

-The Valeo kit is not expensive so if you like gadgets, don't hesitate and buy it! Since I have installed it, I have not used the lights switch anymore. But you must be accustumed to see your lights turning on and off more frequently... Not so good for the Xenon bulbs, but we know when we like comfort, we gives money  ;D

To back to the subject, I have the Valeo light On&Off kit installed on my Omega, and like Chris said, it's a bit too sensible.... Every time you run under a shadow (that can be a little bridge, a tree, a building...), the lights turn on... You can of course disable the the system with a little switch on the sensor. I like the gadgets too, so I have installed it, like some others useless stuffs lol :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: White LED's in Omega?

I can't agree with LED's looking awful for backlighting stuff in the Omega. I was bored with yellow-ish buttons and displays, some of them even worn out, so I converted the whole lot to LED. All my switch symbols are now red, while switch indicators is yellow. Speedometer and MID warm white. To make this look good I made sure to use diffuse LEDs. Normal clear ones will only light up a smaller area, while the diffuse ones will light up like a bulb. You wouldn't notice the difference apart from the crisp colour.

If you want to save some time with the switches you can buy LEDs with integrated resistors. The switches are a bit of a pain to do though, but all the other bits are really easy.

A good source for the white diffuse 3mm and 5mm LEDs is www.led1.de (where I bought mine).

If I will see if I can dig up some pictures of my conversion.

Thank you for that, but you have a preface, I know the bulbs of the facelift switches are more difficult to change as the sockets are not the same... But if you post some pics of your realisation, that can surely helps, may be a pic of a switch with a LED installed in?

Thanks again!

Thank you all for your help! I'm really interested to convert all in white but my problems are:

1. Where can I find a complete set of LED conversion for the Facelift?

2. I have taked out a rear heated seat switch and opened it to see how are the bulbs... They looks like soldered in the socket and form one part with the plastic?? How to replace them with the LED's?? Are the others dash switches the same thing?

And for the screen readability, I have a colour CID one, so not a problem for me  :y

Mr Ice man, do you have some pics of your realisaton? How do you have replaced the switches bulbs? Which type of LED's do you have used?

Do you mean the LED's doesn't lights up? Or what's the problem with the Omega?

I do not want to contradict you, I simply inform me  :y

I agree, blue is for gay... But I think white brings more elegance to the car (especially coupled with leather seats)... And for the screen, I have a CID, so I don't mind.

I have found this for example (preface dash, so I assume it's possible for facelift too?), yes it's in blue but I want to do it in white!
They advise to tilt the LED's for 45°, may be precisely to avoid being blinded?

Anyone here have already done this job? Changing the complete interior lighting with LED's?
(By the complete interior I mean, the aircon panel, the NCDC and the other switchs all arround, steering wheel commands, tacho lamps, power windows commands, headlamps switch, lighter lamp, rear heated seats switches, ......so all!)

I know it's possible but I'm after some "how-to" for all that, I have nothing found about the Facelift Omega.

Here's a pic of an Astra H modified in white-red.
http://www.bluecars.net/product_info.php?cPath=28_91&products_id=553&language=en

I think my Omega would be very nice with a full white interior lighting, in combination with the cream beige leather and the polished wood effect...

Any suggests/helps/opinions?  :P
