I got helped out once when my mini gave out about 300 miles from home. I hid and my girlfriend did the 'damsel in distress' bit. A group of young boys (in a mini) did an ingenious fix and the car got us all the way home! Couldn't switch the engine off though, don't know what they did!

You can say what you want about Clarkson, but I think he's a genius. None of us would bother watching it if it wasn't for him! What's the alternative? Fifth gear? They've tried and failed dismally to emulate the success of Top gear. There's no contest

I work as a manager in a supermarket, sometimes I just sit and watch to see just how many 'disabled' people use the designated areas properly, with a blue badge displayed. It ain't many, perhaps 40%. You get people of all ages just pulling in nonchalantly as if it means nothing. They can't be bothered walking the extra few yards from a normal parking space, and if you have the cheek to challenge them on it, you get mouthfuls and mouthfuls of vile abuse. It's just lazy, arrogant, selfish people who deny genuine users the space, a pet hate of mine.

Mine had its first MOT in my ownership as well today. Couldn't quite manage no advisories (just one for a rusty exhaust) but absolutely chuffed all the same. When you think of all the things that could go wrong....
