Admin., and whoever is responsible for managing this site, softwars et al.
I was having a ponder in an idle moment about how smoothly things run here, without fault most of the time and that doesn't happen by accident: it requires dedication and hard work, so thanks gents.  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Rear brakes anti rattle shims
« on: 07 July 2017, 18:23:57 »
The spring clip from the solid disc set is fine, just clean up and reuse the pins :y
Not so, it can jam between the pads... Effectively locking out the rear brakes.
Wot he says.

New pins and spring available from dealer still, but from memory the pins are something like £4 each :o
just priced some for mine and the pins are £6.90 each and the springs £5.80 ordered from germany, so have ordered some pins and springs from different sources for the likes of mercedes etc and see what comes close and adapt will see how it goes :y

thanks will have a look :y

As said, any O2/Voda based network will work with standard Omega factory phone units, such as telematics or CCRT range.

MVNOs for these 2 networks are fine as well, with GiffGaff (run over O2) or Asda Mobile (run over Voda last time I checked) being the cheaper optins than O2/Voda themselves.

Use the O2 or Vodafone coverage checker to work out which base network is best :y

I used Giffgaff in my Telematics in my beloved silver bullet, as Vodafone in these parts is shockingly bad.

If you go Giffgaff, sign up with TD's link above (I won't post mine now), and you will get a small bonus after you have topped up your first tenner.
thanks will check the coverage :y
