Made me smile, i paid 3k for my Omega, done 15,000 miles of trouble free motoring and found the Vx dealers generally "ok" -  And servicing costs brilliant (with the aid if TC   )

So glad i have learned all the stuff on my car here on this forum, I can post up any fault and get a propper honest answer. And no garage BULL.

Theres obviously something wrong with it then.....i suspect the ECU......get it changed ASAP  

No need to change that, i'll just get it diagnosed with tech2 and fix the problem that way

Yes, I saw it. It really is unforgivable the way some people are treated by these b******s. If the job is done properly, they can still make a fortune and customers would be only too happy to come back for more.

Exactly, that poor lady who was charged for a full service of £270 and only had air filter and oil & filter changed.

Just watched the end of this program, anyone else see it?

Some guy paid £30,000 for a BMW Convertable!! - THIRTY THOUSAND POUNDS!!  

This was not a company car he bought it himself!!

It had apauling reliablity too, engine idle problems, faulty alarm and very poor dealers.

I can't see GM pumping money into a big new Vx/Opel badged car. If they do make one, it will be badged as a Caddy or Chevy.

Such as the new Chrysler 300 C - They will be cheap fast motoring soon.

Also a new Omega would pull sales away from the 300C, which is aimed at the same market. Big RWD that are cheap, even new.

Yes, I have already eyed the 300C as my potential next motor if no new Omega is on the horizon anytime soon... It captures the Omegas spirit in its being a non-nonsense exec with RWD and down-to-earth price tag. However Chrysler is NOT part of GM - its part of Chrysler-Daimler who compete against GM and Ford in the US market, so the sucess of the 300C will, if anything, make it more likely that GM will push its Cadillac against it.

Oh yeh OoOoPs  

Forgot Chrysler was not part GM  

Well maybe there will be a new Omega out soon, but 300c's on '06 plates with fully kitted with less than 10k miles are already going for less than 20k

hummmm have to join markjay on this one....

Head it all before, loads of rumours about the next meggy, front wheel drive on the same platform as the next Saab ect ect ect....

Unfortunely any new Omega no matter how good it will be, will not beat the big BMW's or Mercs. We all know how good the facelift was againt its rivals.

Its has a fatal floor..... the Vauxhall badge  

I'll belive it when i see it.

Just been told that the car my mate tested was a Holden Commodore V2 !!!!

V8 5.7 litre, approx 350 horse power !!! Manual too !!! Dohhhhhhhhhh !!!!

Now i really wouldnt want to buy the petrol for this one !!!

The Monaro has a 5.7 V8 Chevvy lump, at that is reported to get fairly a good 30mpg at motorway speeds, the engine idles at 1,500 rpm ish @ 70mph  

Drinks like a fish in town though

 You got it, and don't forget you need your mobile stuck to you ear for good measure

Also when you turn off and go though some nice country villages, remember to stick at 55mph!

I watched a programme on the telly(speed cops or something) where the had a police motorcyclist on hand to chase the flashers down and give them a bollicking

 

Thats a bit OTT, yes my finger slipped officer.

My experaince, 80% of cars that past a van flash me, people don't do it for the fixed cameras anymore only the vans.

Few months ago there was a speedo van up on our by-pass, its flat and straight and so easy to do 65 in stead of 60... had loooads of people flash me for that, and i returned the favour...
