Mine is a factory built unit, aside from the wireless card has never been messed with.

it was running XP SP2 before, according to the specs it could run vista with no issues as well.

the install went smoothly enough, the first boot up it came up with the all the profiles on the PC and then crashed, i can access safe mode, all i get now is a load os script like this

multi(0)disc(0)rdisc(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\DRIVERS\**********

** = filemnames

it scrolls about 50/60 of these, comes to a rest and the does nothing.

is there anyway i can restore it back to XP?

i'm in the process of upgrading the pc from XP to vista.

Run the discs no problem, however when i boot up it will not boot into vista, all i get is a black screen, i can access the boot menu and the bios.

i am hacked off as i risk losing a lot of info,  set a system resore point before i did all of this, all i want to do now is to be able to boot it up in safe mode and restore the point and so roll back to XP.....

any ideas on how i do this, i have tried holding down F6 but nothing happens apart from a load of beeeeeeeps

I still feel catastrophic inside, sat a latest shape one a while ago felt surprisingly small inside given the car's size  (was a dark interior)

Firstly, it's 20k OR 1 year, whichever comes first.

Secondly, a car that does 20k in a year probably does mostly motorway miles which are easy on the engine. On the motorway the miles get racked-up pretty quickly, but in term of actual working hours the engine does not too very much.

Thirdly, being a taxi driver you may do 20k in a year, but this schedule does NOT relate to vehicles used in 'extreme' conditions, and Vx gives as an example cars used as Police car, TAXI, or towing. So no excuses, TD...

Thirdly, if you did still insist on adhering to the manufacturer's spec, then the engine will not go belly-up the next morning - the problem will appear further down the line, and since Omegas get scrapped with relatively low mileage due to the tensioner failure (80k/8y - remember?), most will not be around long enough to suffer the long-term consequences of manufacturer's-spec maintenance.

Fourthly, don't believe anything you read. I bet you actually think that Global Warming scare is real?  

would that include being at high speed, i.e more that 3500/4000 rpm for long periods of time?

coming home tonight some little upstart in some undiscript eurobox decided that he wanted to come past me on the M5, just to impress his girlfriend.....

He got alongside, i had seen him about 30 seconds before, knocked it into sport mode in preparation, just as he was alongside i floored it, 90, 95.....you get the idea.........finally the needle was pointing some strange 3 digit number!!

he backed off   , i gave her a wave, she was quite pretty

Hmmmm, some spec there.....

Video calling, heads up display for the driver, looks like some sort of active speaker system in the headrests, GSM phones in the rear screens, i-drive type controller......

The doors make it look like an estate, wonder if the chassis had been extended for this, there seems to be a lot of legroom there......

I have seem an apple mini mac in the arm rest of a miggy with the screens in the back, looked very neat

I still to this day struggle to see how the Signum can be seen as a replacement for the Omega!!!

you will have to pay customs most likely when it arrives in the country.

The kit doesnt include the tank, thats an extra cost and then there is the hassle of fitting it.

yes it will work out cheaper than having it fitted, but what about certification?

I spoke to him in depth, he seemed to know his stuff regarding vauxhalls, he was quick to point out dispack issues and difficulties in getting to the HBV.
the sub enclosure is about the size of the LPG tank, I have 2 x 12 inch subs in there, I will have to look for a single enclosure unit I think, something a bit less in your face!!!
