Omega General Help / alternator removal on a 2 facelift
« on: 31 December 2014, 14:52:53 »
Good afternoon all I've just bought my car and I left it for a few days without starting it and went to start it and it wouldn't fire. So I jumped started and it run fine but I did notice before that when everything was on ie heaters lights and everything else the battery light would come on albeit dim my next door neighbour has put a meter on it and thinks it might be the alternator lucky enough there is a guy that repairs them that live a couple miles down the road but I think he only accepts them once they have been taken out is it a big job to get it out and there is also all the lpg stuff under the bonnet

Ok no problem can vauxhall not reset it with a tech 2. Ive only just bought the car and the only reason the light is on is because they changed the seats but forgot to wait 15 minutes before doing the job.

Good afternoon all, could I trouble you with a problem on my mums car no one can seem to diagnose and sort out the problem. I done the self test on the dash board and it came up as er0608 that is saying the speed sensor so I done a bit of reading and took some advice to get it change. So she booked it in to the garage she uses and after having it for a day the phone and said they hadn't changed it as they don't think that's the problem so they said they took it out cleaned it and put it back. She drove it away from the garage and 2 minutes down the road it done the same thing. It's been losing power and cutting out so she phoned the garage back and booked it back in for the next day but after being there the whole day they phoned to say I was another problem and supplied her with the code e00001 and gave her the number to an auto electrician and said to contact them. Any one got any ideas. Thanks in advance Rikki
