Omega General Help / Re: Air Con - Regassing.
« on: 19 April 2008, 10:48:37 »
Should be able to get it vacuumed, leak tested & regassed (make sure they put the lubricant in or a/c compressor will fail) for £45 - £50.

Where?

Omega General Help / No heated rear seats
« on: 29 March 2008, 09:12:39 »
Hi all, my year 2000 X reg 2.5 elite estate does not have heated rear seats. It seems to be implied by some previous posts that it should have, I guess they were just an option, is that so?

Omega General Help / Front seat back has dropped off!
« on: 11 March 2008, 19:04:43 »
Hi fellas, the rigid back which includes the map holder has just come off the back of the front drivers seat. It's full electric and leather.
I have found 1 black screw in the passinger footwell but thats all.
Any ideas how it goes back?

I have noticed 4 beeps from the dash area when turning off the engine, [b]this does not happen everytine[/b]. I have not been able to associate the beeps with any particular action as yet.
Any thoughts on what this might be?

My experience was that I just wiggled the rotary switch around (highly tech) it's as though the contacts are poor/dirty/dry in the switch. Seems to be a bit like the AC needs to be used often.

Omega General Help / Re:Climate control upgrade?
« on: 07 February 2008, 11:38:42 »
Can you explain the quote below, i run a facelifted 2000reg 2.5 elite.
Also, on nearside main dash vent outlet, a couple of the angle adjustable flaps (the up and down flaps) have become unattached from the angle adjuster!!
Can they be relocated somehow?

Agreed, get the climate tech2 upgraded.

Makes a huge difference, I remeber 'selling' it to Jay at Newent!

Before it was done, there was frequent button presses to redirect air, reduce fan speed, now just set the temp and forget.

Omega General Help / Re: KEY FOB
« on: 08 February 2008, 15:21:57 »
As a related topic, When I bought my 2.5 elite recently I was given a second key/fob it has a new battery but it does not work, looks new BUT it does not have a red led, just the 2 open/close buttons, no red led?
I suppose it's from a christmas cracker then.

Omega General Help / How to check for faulty heated seat pad?
« on: 29 January 2008, 20:56:02 »
Have a 2000 x reg elite with heated leather seats, drivers works great passengers not.
I understand from a prevous  post that the seats are heated by 'pads'.
The switch on the dash seems to work well, turns and illuminates just no heat.
How can I tell what is wrong, just to complecate matters, I would prefer not to have to expose the fuses under the drivers dash as I have a disability and my handcontrols would have to be dismantled in order to get to the fuses!
If it is a blown pad where would I get one?
Many thanks for your advice
Mike
