As soon as ignition is turned on
It’ll display footbrake message so I clear that by pressing brake
Then it’ll show washer fluid low , I can clear that with the button on the stereo

Now here’s the issue
When I turn ignition on
It doesn’t turn the radio on I have to turn it on manually from power button
If i do this straight after Turing the ignition on , I can use the stereo
I get about 30 seconds before display safe is displayed
I can pretty much do any function , radio cd or cdc but once display safe is displayed then I’m pretty much blind operating
I can’t test nav as i don’t have a nav disc but a music disc plays in that slot

When I turn ignition off radio stays on
Until I switch it off manually

So there’s no ignition control on the stereo
I’ve checked the ignition live feed to the stereo ( thin red wire ) and that shows 12v when key is turned so that’s working

I’ve tried checking all wires for broken or incorrect but a bit lost now

You don't use the stalk buttons with NCDC (hence why the stalk is changed on retrofits) you use the steering wheel controls
Ok that cleared that
Thanks

Right so I’ve got most of it working
I’ve left the rev wire out pin 29 on the iso

I’ve got some info from a vectra forum
Where it tells me to connect
ISO-block pin 33 ( canh) and pin 25 (ter)together to CID pin 19
But in the omega I’ve connected these to Pin 10 on the larger connector on the cid

Everything seems to work
Apart from the stalk button
Normally when you get check light eg bulb out you can go through them via stalk
But now that is not working
I can go through them in the stereo

I’ve done some searching thanks to this forum
And connected canh and canl to puns 10 & 11 on the large connector on the display
I’ve got car info showing now
Still have spare wires
Rev ( white/ black wire )
Ter  ( white wire )

Help please
So I’ve managed to get the stereo and display
The seller had already cut the loom from the back
So I’ve got about 6” with of loom from the cage
And I also cut the additional loom from the car that goes into the display as mine didn’t have the spare connector behind the dash
I’ve copied alll the wires for the audio and power so iso connector reconnected

Now the new units top connector has extra wires
I copied the ones that were colour matching on to the top of the iso wich matchied into the existing loom

So I’m left with few extra wires
I’ve connected the small connector that goes into the display I’ve matched about 5 wires but no display

The display comes on
Vauxhall sign
Gives me the footbrake warning sign and then disappears when brake pressed
But nothing coming from the stereo
I have still few extra wires
These are
canh (green wire)
canl   ( white wire )
Rev   ( white with black wire )
Syn    ( white wire )

When I turn the stereo on the radio plays
No display on the screen
I can’t do anything other than change volume from stereo or buttons on steering
TIA

It’s coming out of a 3.2 elite saloon
Mine is 2.6 elite saloon
My car has Bose and I guess this unit would have Bose too
I’ll see the setup when I go down to pull it out
The seller hasn’t replied as he said he has a buyer for the screen before I enquired for the stereo and screen
I’ve told him the screen on its own won’t work with another unit Unless paired so waiting for response
I guess I would take the cage of him too
Fingers crossed the he comes back with screen and unit
I know about the cd units laser issues but I would probably end up using a fm transmitter on it to play of my phone
The new cig lighter sockets ones ain’t too bad in terms of quality
I’ve always wanted one as they make the dash look so much cooler lol
So to confirm if I buy the headunit and the screen together apart from the Extra wiring for the screen
I don’t need to do anything else ???
The seller has no paperwork for the car so no pass or codes etc

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Ncdc2013

Hi all
Quick question
I’ve got Someone breaking a 3.2 elite
It’s has the ncdc 2013 with the colour display
If I bought the unit and the display ( as I’ve read on here they are paired )
Are those the only two things I need to fit them in my car as mine has the ccr2006
I know I’ll have to add some extra wires for the Rgb display , that’s in the top connector
And the antenna for the satnav (wich I won’t need so I leave that )
Is there any thing else I need to know or add
Just want the stereo working with the colour display and for it to show car info like mpg etc

Omega General Help / Re: O2 sensors
« on: 03 June 2020, 02:16:27 »
I bought a taper tap 1.5mm m18 as this was recommended by the garage as a better solution
And luckily he was able re thread the existing nut
The sensor went in nicely and tightened
The fault has disappeared
So currently showing no faults
I only drove it a few miles back home but will see over the next few days how it goes

It probably wasn't cross-threaded, but just seized. It's a short, coarse thread(1.5mm) that probably only has about 3 threads engaged. It doesn't take much to ruin the threads when both parts are new ::)
probably was seized and your right it only locks on a few threads but a right mess when it came out

Long story lol
I measured the reading between the two white wires and it was zero
So it was buggered
Now coming to removing that o2 sensor it wasn’t budging
After fighting with it for ever lying under the car wasn’t the best position to apply some torque
Drove to a local garage and they managed to take it off but the threads were destroyed as whoever put it on cross threaded it
I’ve ordered a lamda nut
Just waiting on that so can get it welded on and then hopefully put the Replacemnt sensor on
Not driving it now as it doesn’t sound very good with a hole in the exhaust
Will report back in a few days hopefully
Isn't this the sensor that you replaced with a used spare you happened to have, that also proved to be faulty?
The sensors that were in Bank-2/Sensor-1?
Or is it some other sensor?
Or what?
no I replaced sensor 1 in bank 2 (luckily that came out nice )
As that was showing up faulty originally
After replacing that, sensor 2 in same back started showing up as faulty
