Something like this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Meguiars-Quik-Quick-Clay-Detailer-Make-Paint-Like-Glass_W0QQitemZ310203007748QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item48398a4304#ht_509wt_1165

That's what I used to get the good base before polishing with AG super resin polish. I finished with two coats of AG High Def wax and I'm using a little turtlewax ICE liquid polish and Megs quick detailing spray to keep the wet look :D

will be doing mine on sat after spoilers fitted and i will be delighted if it comes up like that!! good work!!

Thanks. The finish is all in the preperation, you got to clay really well, wash, polish with SRP (or similar), wash again and when the paint is spotless and smooth as silk you protect with a few layers of wax. It rained a few hours after I finished and when the rain died off I took a look at the beading from the AG HD, brilliant stuff, the water just rolls off the paint 8-)

I saw don paul's Omega after he polished it last week and was very impressed;

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1268159882

enough so that I knew my mig needed a super detail to retain the "cleanest mig in Haverhill" honour ;D

Clayed and then polished with AG SRP and finished with two coats of AG HD wax from Halfrauds £40!

Wheels waxed with HD as well!

Any other Suffolk Migs out there?

I love this one! :)

A few scratchs left, but much better than before

Forgot to add, I will also be removing all alloys next week and making the inner arches like new, followed by cleaning the INSIDE of the Alloys ;-) This sounds very anal doesn't it.  :(

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, but I spend more time on http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ than on here. Looks very good, well done! 8-) 8-)

Have you thought about a good wax after you polish? A friend came over today with a silver Z3 BMW, we gave it a clay and polish, a coat of autoglym HD, and then a wipedown with a quick detail spray. Great finish 8-)

Very nice! All we need now is the sun to shine and we can both appreciate our hard work ;D

Darker colours really need bright light to look their best, although the darker cars, when well polished, look really good at night IMO :)

Sorry Andy, but I can only see the rear quarter panel of the car. The photo appears to have been cut off some how???? :-/

What I can see looks good though! :)

Hi There

I work at Drive Vauxhall Bury st Edmunds and Duddery Hill, Haverhill and the proud owner of a facelift 2001 X REf 2.6 CD in Silver.

Live quite close to Duddery Hill as well, Small workd us miggy owners, perhaps we should set up a Haverhill miggy Club. ;D

Good idea, Don Paul lives on the Clements and I'm up on Parkside. We'll have to have a Sunday outing in town when the weather warms up :y

Are you by any chance a mechanic? ::) :) ;D

Is yours pre-facelift, same colour as mine? I saw one outside the shop on Queensway, Parkside Estate on Sunday afternoon?? :)
I've also seen another X-reg, again same colour as mine down at the Rec centre a few weeks back, again a few weeks before that I got a free parking ticket from an Omega owner outside the CO-OP, friendly bunch! :)
