Looking for some new designs for a new build and found this
If it's something cool like Metallica, then fine. If it's drum 'n' base then you need to listen to that shite in a sound proof room.you are sounding older than me steve the louder the better ps on my 2.0 i had a saying on the front heavy metal rules ha ha
These days though I prefer a bit of Dire Straits @ meduim volume
depends on the kind of music and mood..i dont want to hear engine noise
long years ago when I was young (around 20) I had hand built amplifiers and speakers (I built them and their crossovers-they were huge)..
the bass sound was shaking the apartment , and obviously neighbours didnt like metallica and the likes..
when I moved (married-first time )I was forced not to use them. the new home had walls which were too tiny and even a fart can pass 2 blocks and I was fed up police knocking the door frequently (20 years ago)
anyway, my ex wife take the whole set (was really an expensive one) and it took years for me to bring it together.. and its all gone.. looking on the bright side one problem solved with neighbours
now generally I use my sony earphones .. the miniset kenwood (which I bought later) is just a fraction of what I had in the past.. but I dont bother buying stronger ones..
now rarely I open the volume (only in day time) and even this can be heard from the end of street
also age changes your music preferences.. and some styles really not suitable for high volumes..
other than that , I dont like high volumes in car also as I cant hear the engine noise..
Gas is just so much more convenient..Ye gods man, next you'll be telling us you DJ with MP3'si think im going gas next time, mine seems to have fallen to bits over winter.......maybe i should of put it away lolProper home built is what you want.
getting charcoal going when you want a random bbq for 1 (get the violins out ) is just too much of an arse
All parts sourced from REME and been outside 24/7/365 for the last 5 years
All depends on what & where for me.
I'll play music at a moderate level in the car if the grandkids are with us, but if I'm on my own then I prefer to hear the engine/road noise.
Home is a different matter, and the decibel level is dictated by the genre (Reggae/Ska sees the subs warming the living room up and rearranging the furniture nicely )
I have a T shirt which reads.....like it mate
If it's too loud, your too old
SO ITS 14/4/2012Works for me, that's my free week from treatment.Worth bringing a gas barbecue and some burgers?I'm quite happy to take the role of Barbie Chef, but I'm not having anything to do with anyone named Ken
Propane?
What happened to charcoal?

Try using the your ear system, the nose system is used for smelling, things like burning Amps etc.

Well I don't think it's chavey. However you do get some funny looks when you've got something like Mr Bluesky by ELO blasting out
I spent my youth going to to many clubs and Raves (remember them) and my walkman always went with me. I to have tinnitus. I'm resigned to needing hearing aids later(ish) in life however I still do crank it up but not to the levels I use to. I try for quality over quantity now even if my hearing isn't the best. I still love my tunes though.
Depends what it is really.
Exactly.
Guess chav would be if the windows were down whilst it is 2 deg outside.
Converting your mpg in litres i got 19l/100km....for v6. My is 4pot and I had consumption of 17/18 litres for one week when doing mainly kindergarden/doctor/shoping/town drive.
32mpg on motorway though
