check your spark plug holes to see if they have water or oil in them also you may need to check your Dissy pack and leads could be part of the problem. does it run rough when its going ?

Did or is the EML on ? If it is or has been since it broke on your misses read the codes by paper clipping it.

It soundsa little like what happened to me and it was my Cam Sensor.

Are the Revs limited to 4500 rmp ?

Oh also check the crank sensor is fitted bang on and correctly i heard of a guy who had problems had the crank sensor change and it was fine for alittle while then he kept having loads of problem he spent loads trying to find out what the problem was but after ages and ages he noticed the crank sensor was not fitted spot on so he refitted it and it sorted all his problems just an idea for you.

Omega General Help / Re: Oil change and Flushing ?
« on: 13 January 2008, 10:18:16 »
Agree With Not Flushing I have been told it can lossen crap and block up stuff and make it worse, Saying that i had mine flushed when the oil pump knacked up.

What i would like to know is when you changing the oil every 500 miles for 2k do you change the oil filter every time also ?

if you just have mayo on the oil filer cap on a v6 is just condensation take it on a good run and it will clear as i bet you do short trips in the car.

oil cooler will be brown goo in the header tank

Omega General Help / Re: steering problems

If You Fluid is up to the level and is pink it should be ok.

Had a Chat with The Boy and laidback and acouple of the other lads about power steering fluid and they say it normally lasts the life of the car unless you have it on full lock of ages  and ages and the fluid degrades

I think it must just be the pump

quick ones to check but i think its your pump that might be on it way out.

Check your Stering Fluid Level and with yours being a 2.5 check the power steering fuse but i think thefuse will be ok

easy to check timing put you have to pull your bagpipes out on other bits and bobs.

Remove camcover and rotate the engine clockwise untill the cam markers line up with the marks if any are out its easy to spot.

Heres the cam marks on my 4 pot which this is soooooo easy to do as its 2/3 and engine as they say on here.

if your worried by mayonaise check the dipstick if its on there worry but with yours being a V6 i would be surprised if the dipstick has any on it

Its around 100 pounds for a cambelt KIT and Water Pump and 35 pounds for a crank sensor.

So I think you have been had.

You did get the water pump changed also didn't you ?

Omega General Help / Re: Engine code 0130 & 0135 - Lamda Issue
« on: 09 January 2008, 09:08:13 »
Yep the Lamda heater is built into the lambda sensor I would check your wire connections first before changing the lambda they can snap or short out on the metal underside of the car if the plastic has cracked

You will have a 4 wire 5v volt lambda
