General Discussion Area / Re: Do you use Sat Nav?
« on: 07 March 2012, 18:15:29 »
i use the garmin very useful speed cameras and traffic hold ups and you can input a postcode  :y also if you are somewhere where you havent been you can take a 'snapshot' and its put in your favourites if you ever want to go back  :y
the funny thing is using the garmin and the ncdc2013 sat nav together they contradict each other and you end up waiting for a full scale argument  ;D ;D

Omega General Help / Re: Idle problem
« on: 06 March 2012, 18:59:23 »
idle problems can be caused by vac leaks so i would check there first, spray some carb cleaner around vac pipes and seals/joints/gaskets etc if revs rise you have found the leak  :y

72
actually states in the manual that at idle this can happen  :y  if it goes out when slightly increasing revs then the manual says it is nothing to worry about  :y

well done on sorting problem  :y erm if you have  :-\ the symptoms you described does sound like a failing crank sensor which sometimes will not throw up codes on the pedal/paperclip test, if it is cranksensor it could give up on you at any time, probally in the most unconvienient place going  >:(
if i was you i would source a genuine cranksensor and keep it in your boot "just in case"  :y
