That sounds nice and easy....... but do you mean that I should spray it round the air intake? And are there any parts of the engine that it will damage........And what do I use to seal the leak?
Hope I don't sound too thick but want to be on the safe side.

Spray it lightly around each component/connection .. it won't do any harm at all. Once you know where the leak is, you know which bits to take off to check... seals for splits or not seating properly, pipes for splits. No point in taking the whole plenum off if it just a split vac pipe at the back !!! Leaks should be fixed by replacing witha serviceable parts .. NOT by use of gash sealants/glues .. IMHO
