very nice, did you get it polished and if so, by hand or machine?

What wax did your friend use, it has a very nice shine? :)

Did I pass you coming out of Tesco in Haverhill tonight about 6pm? I had the equally shiney CDX :D

Talk about a small world, and I thought I had the best looking MIG in town! ;D

thanks penbroke yes that was me at tescos  :).
as for the detailing it was all done by hand starting with a pre wash followed by a claying then on to another snow foam wash, dryied then swirl x,finally canubar wax. :D.
5 hours later job done  :y

I just ordered a snow foam lance to go with the pressure washer I bought last week. I plan to strip the wax off the car, clay, hand polish with Autoglym super resin polish and finish with Autoglym HD wax. If I'm not happy after that I'll buy a machine polisher and give that a go.  :D
My wife thinks I've gone mad, but I love having my car looking it's best.
I posted a few photos of my car after I waxed it on Saturday

It's looking good, but not perfect, yet ;D

I just read your old posts and now remember you telling me earlier that you live in the Clements. Very nice car and a very good polish. ;)

I pressure washed the car and then gave it one coat of turtlewax ICE liquid polish and then one coat of Maguires NXT wax spray.  8-)
The Maguires is the better of the two as you can actually see what you need to buff-off. With the ICE it's
difficult to see whether or not you've removed it all. :(

very nice. 8-)
I wanted to detail my interior today after my big wash/polish last weekend-unfortunately the weather in Suffolk has been crap all day, and I've not felt like getting eletricuted vacuuming the car in the rain, sleet and occasional snow ;D

Top job :y ...but why with the weather as it is just now ? :-/

The car had little or no wax and I thought it was a good idea to get some on to protect against the weather. Also, I quit drinking at Christmas as I need to lose a few pounds and get a bit fitter; as I result I'm bored to death on the weekends even with the kids to keep happy and the wife to look after ;) ;) :)

P.S. I'm 6'3'' and not a fat bast&*d ;) ;)

Spot on matey & nice to see you've done the glass in & out. So many miss this. The claybar is good if the car has'nt been done for a while. I machine polish which needs a handwax after to seal but machine polish only needs doing 2 or 3 times a year.
    She's a credit to you. :y

Thanks, my next job, after purchasing a pressure washer and foam lance will be to buy a rotary polisher. I'd appreciate advice on polishing as I don't want to ruin the car and I can't afford a £200 paint depth gauge :-[

Looks nice and tidy, and well done for a hand job (oo er! lol)  :y

Did you use any wax or sealant afterwards?

Yes, the best hand job I've done :-*lol!
No, I've not added a sealant; I will later in the month, but I've spent close to £75 on all the products and cloths! :(

My wife thinks I've spent about a tenner at Halfords! (There's hell to come later! :'( :) :))
