Anyone know what the cost of standard springs/shocks for a 3.2 Special would be?

Cheers,

Joff, how easy was it to change the oil on the LSD? What oil/how much does it take, would like to do mine. Regarding vectra, front wheel drive so guessing LSD wouldn't suit, don't know if getting LSD recon'd would be an idea? There can't be many, if any, out there that haven't been ragged half to death

Cheers,

Get 2 flat bladed screwdrivers and pry off one end at a time, fiddly but do-able :y

Hi,

I see that Keithnic is looking for work doing to his car and DLK had talked off a trip up here so if that goes ahead soon then it gives me an excuse to come up, otherwise im at RAF Leuchers now and again so could take the car up next time, though don't know when that would be, think its my only viable option as there's no one around my area who has a clue about these cars

Hi,

Did pedal test last week, ran with plug off yesterday, coes are still present. Im guessing there's no way of telling unless i get it on Tech 2 or get a known good MAF to swap out, beginning to bug me big time. Even if I had another 3.2 to compare it with, just doesn't feel right to when I got it

Iain

Is there a way to check the MAF to see if its working properly? I disconnected it yesterday and there was no difference i nthe way it drove, still felt that there was a hesitation in the delivery of power and that it juddered when coming off the throttle

Omega General Help / Fault codes on 3.2
« on: 12 June 2010, 16:21:28 »
Hi,

Just done the pedal trick and am getting the following codes

0100-Mass or volume air circuit
0420-Catylst system below efficiency below threshold(Bank 1)

So what do these mean? Knackered MAF and Cat?

Cheers,
Iain

Not to hijack the thread, but will the compressor work if it needs topped up? Mine doesn't appear to be working, got a guy coming tuesday to test and top it up the system but I can't hear my compressor working, my revs don't alter at all and theres no clicking noise?

Cheers,
Iain

I'm sure I could find some work for Daz as well, also be a good time to get use of Hotel 21's Tech 2 and get climate update and codes read on the motor :y

Omega General Help / Re: removing oil filter canister
« on: 30 May 2010, 21:45:38 »
I would say a big advantage, after 2 nights of trying to remove my housing cover i've given up, will be ordering a spin on filter adaptor tomorrow, 1 bent socket, a mangled housing and a busted hand tell me its going to be well worth it :D

Hi,

Will idle at 500 but drop to 400 now and gain, other times will jump between 500 and 400. Doesn't seem to do it at any specific time, uphill+downhill are the same, throttle position makes no difference. When revved out of gear it will got to full revs and back with no issues, only under load. Got a feeling that there may be a problem with the LSD as well as when slowing down at times its as though the rear wants to slow down more than the front, as though the brakes are getting pumped.

Getting a new exhaust and steering idler today so am going to strip the brakes down at the weekend and just make sure nothing is sticking, also another oil and filter change. Fuel filter also. Nearest Tech 2 to me is Hotel 21 so might have to take a trip to Fife :P

Cheers,
Iain
