Well the Catera Owners on this side of the pond feel a bit separated, and for whatever reason we cant get them to come to the OOFs so I figured why not make another one, and the only reason for making it was the one that we use now is just one single page with no organization, everyone posts everything in the same place, there was no structure... so I figured I would start one of the free ones and see where it goes... I hope you guys like the tree structure, it seems to make sence and I will probably add more to it as we go along...

Ohh and my intention is not to steal any traffic from the OOF just want to gave another place with carefully sorted out information about everything... and in fact if we can add the Catera section to the OOF that would be that much nicer...

You guys are more then welcome to go and try to register and try to post we need to see how it all goes...

Thanks again.  :D

Well we werent happy with how the Catera Forum was set up so I put some effort in this and went ahead and set up a forum called... CATERAOWNERS.FORUMOTION.COM so please feel free to check it out and give us some feed back.  We are planning to make this a great place for sorted info and just general stuff for our lovely cars.

Well I think it has a hatch at the drivers feet that opens with a button maybe so what you do is you use your feet most of the time... kinda like a Flinstone Mobile... and then you use the engine only once in a while... and tada... 50mpg...

JK... LOL

IDK mine gets about 18ish city and just about 23hwy... and thats with very fat tires and a 10W30 Oil... before with the skinnier 225 tires and a 5W30 I was getting about 24 hwy and 20ish city...

Well  :) Damn after the brake in period I can tell my car stops wayyyyyyyyyy better then before... Its amazing how much of an improvement there was from simply a larger pad a twin pistons... The 2 tons dont quite feel so heavy any more...

I also just found out that you can use CORVETTE C5 Brake pads on these GTO Calipers and they should be even better then the GTO ones...

...to be quite honest you can probably buy some calipers from the guys at the GTO FORUMS.com for about 50$ for the set and then shipping will not be more then 100$.  That shouldn't be too bad.

However if you guys can get your hands on some Monaro front brakes then these will work just as well because the GTO was born from the Monaro and if anything the calipers will be even more similar to the Omega ones....

As to the stopping it deffinetly increased since the old pad is way smaller then the new one but also the twin piston is where you get your advantage since you can provide more stopping distance.

But if anything the Guys on the GTO forums are getting theirs prepped up for sale because now that 1 has done it many will likely follow so just go on there and ask for a set and they will hook you guys up.

Also someone can go take pics of the Monaro brakes and we can compare to the GTO ones and then all you got to do is go to a junk yard and buy some...

... well the install is done here are the results...

I upgraded from the single piston Omega Brakes to the dual piston Pontiac GTO brakes and so far I love them.

The brakes work awesome and they seem like they stop way better then the OEM ones so it was well worth the money (100$):

ok enough talk here are the pictures:
