i did see once a racing type car with a parrafin fired flash boiler, it was later to compete for the land speed record for steam powered cars, reached over 200mph i seem to remember. was years ago.

they were some good phots, my grandfather worked at derby loco in the steam era, & dad worked as maintenance bricky, often called upon to re-build the brick arch`s in the firebox`s of the loco`s. from here my passion of steam grew. mainly road loco`s though, driven more than i can remember.

nah, not sad at all. as was said, how can folks throw out such stuff. if it wasnt for the past we wouldnt be where we are now, but then again is that a good thing...there`s a question.
