Omega General Help / Re: ABS ECU Failing??
« on: 09 September 2012, 23:24:03 »
The ABS ECU has failed 3 times on my car, once in the ownership of my father, he ended up going the second hand route after sending his off to BBA Reman for repair and having them charge him £70 to tell him it couldn't be repaired, then I had that one fail in my ownership after being on the car for 2 years, the one I fitted then failed after just a month and fitted the latest one yesterday morning, BBA Reman is a good option but if it can't be repaired you will still be £70 out of pocket!

I can see mass demonstrations coming along on this, there are far too many modified cars in this country and a lot of them are done to a high standard you just have the minority who do not know what they are doing, if this legislation was to be put through it would put many tuning and modifying companies out of business, this would be going against the governments plans to increase jobs throughout the country.

I found wishbones aren't too bad when you have done them before, last set I changed took me less than an hour for both. Its also good knowing that you have done the job properly when you do it yourself.  :y

Mine has covered 131500miles and still pulling strong, it had 98000 on it when my father bought it in march 2008 and 118000 when I bought it in January.

Hi, I'm looking for a 3.0 ABS ECU preferably from a manual but not important as long as it is from the 3.0.

Thanks

I'm often finding damage on my car caused by others, seems these days that if you work hard to get the car you want and keep it in a condition you want you are not allowed and some jealous low life has to step in and do what they feel.

I only carry a breaker bar, some impact sockets and a tow rope, I like my car clean and empty, though no matter how hard I try when ever there is a female in the car clutter always appears.

That reminds me. I also carry a breaker bar behind the drivers seat.Never know when it might be needed. :-X ::)

Mine is kept in the boot, the car gets searched by the police far too often when I'm out late at night, they probably wouldn't take the genuine reason of having it in the car to change the wheel seriously if its in the cabin  ::)
