Omega General Help / Re: Rear air suspension removal

Cool. When it moves it'll just be onto a truck, I'd imagine.

Thanks. I've read quite a few guides and watched lots of videos.

I'm just going to leave the marks inside the lens.

Unfortunately I've not had an oven for 12 months now as I'm renovating.

I live out of a small halogen oven.

I found a guide using a hairdrier in the help section, which I may try. Or I might not tempt fate and just do the outsides.

Unless I can get the front fascia from a knackered one, and a new cage.

Given no power, how might one remove the CD cassette? Possible or does it need power?

Thanks.

Omega General Help / Rear air suspension removal

I'm afraid I'm no mechanic.

If I take the rear dampers off, the car will be on its springs and still move. Am I right?

I'm not going to be driving it. I just need it mobile.

Damn, posted in wrong forum

I have HID facelift lights.

I've wet sanded to clear coat them but it looks like there are water marks or something on the inside of the clear plastic. I'd like to make them good as new.

I can see there are clips holding the clear onto the black plastic main part (so technical!) but it won't budge and I don't want to break it.

Is there unseen sealer preventing separation? Is it 'a job' or should it be easy?

Let me know if you need any bits off my stereo.

I don't think it's really in saleable condition now.

I work in a very well-to-do town populated by old gits with small dogs like dachshunds. Quite a few of them can't bend down to pick up the plop so it can be a slalom course walking to work sometimes.

Luckily it's rare.

Do you mean Sherborne or where you live? If that's a real nickname for somewhere, I've not heard it.

The estate where my girlfriend lives is habitually littered with rubbish, mainly because the wind knocks bins over and then spreads it about. People aren't allowed to bungi the bins shut, because it's too much work for the bin men. It's also caused by proximity to a local shop, so people buy drinks and snacks and by the time they've finished them it's just about near my girlfriend's house so just gets dropped.

Several times I've gone round with a litter picker and people look at me like I'm mad, and the next week it's back to looking like crap again.

Most people don't have pride in where they live anymore.

But the main thing that needs doing is less packaging and more bins.

Bought some burgers the other day for a bbq. MASSIVE packaging about twice the size needed.
