More comenly known as "The ball joint from hell"
Lots of lube spray. if it wont come off then spray loads of rust eater / lube stuff (wd40) leave it over night and have a go in the morning. it should then come off very light.

Omega General Help / Re: engine problems

Might be a stupid question but are your plug wells are clean? ( no oil )
sounds more like a fuel or air problem, its not pulling air from somewhere is it? and is the pipe on your injectors fitted correctly. also check the fuel lines in the engine bay.

not to sure but I believe its normal as the engion is not running, no doubt others will correct me if I'm wrong.
I have attached a fault code list for you to see the other codes.

Omega General Help / Re: 12V socket.

It is easy enough to check your socket, open the car and before you put the key in the ignition plug in a sat nav or other thing to see if there is power.

You could try a scrap yard or ebay. Or your best bet is in the parts section, ask one of the breakers, Dlk might have one.

It sounds like another Ball joint from hell.
I had a problem with mine, I used a bar, a bloody big hammer X2 and a joint remover, nothing worked, so I sprayed a lot of rust remover and wd40 and left it over night, the next day it just about fell off itself.
so spray a load on it and try tommorow.
