Welcome to OOF
For the past few years I have run with 100w on main beam, with standard 55w on dipped. Just uprated the fuses for the main. Most Vauxhalls have seperate fuses for dip and main for each headlight. (ie 4 seperate fuses for haedlights). As a general rule of thumb twice the watts equals twice the amps.found this
The conversion of Watts to Amps at fixed voltage is governed by the equation Amps = Watts/Volts
That'll be your basic Ohm's Law at work.
about 40yrs ago, I was learning about that. Now it will be 'if you and Zenab held etc

Find a old metal backbox that sits in your wall behind the 13 amp sockets in your house.thanks. I love those that improvise
With a pair of pliers, knock out a couple of the 20mm round knock out holes that you remove too insert the wires.
Punch threw a hole threw the disc with a hammer and flat blade screwdriver (the slot needs to be about 5 or 6mm in length and no more then 2mm in width).
As if by magic, you now have a homemade repair washer
Now the fun bit .............. I always glue the homemade washer too the back of the plate using a blob of glue so that it doesn't fall away when you rebuild the brakes
Hope this helps
